Your arrogance and naive outlook on this situation is tiresome. This team should of had a superior Stadium years ago. The current venue is an insult to the 49er franchise.
The Yorks dont need the Bay Area, or to wait on their hands and knees for a Stadium deal to get done. They have a superior product(49ers) with a history of excellence.
The Yorks do not need to wait for Santa Clara to welcome them either.
The 49ers deserve to play in a first class venue period.
Buisness wise -So Ca market is a gold mine. This new venue is going to offered to three teams in California whether you like it or not.
NFL is a buisness plain and simple. Moving the 49ers to L.A. is a great buisness deal.
L.A. doesn't deserve the 49ers, and guess what? It won't happen. Let's come back down to Earth, shall we? York has stressed all along that he wants the team to remain in the Bay Area.
And one more thing, if the Dodgers moved to Northern Calfornia, do you think anyone would give a crap and start becoming Dodger fans? No. They are our rivals. So I don't see why people in L.A. would suddenly become 49er fans, and if you do, that's pretty sad.

I have lived in LA all my life and I dont want this to happen. First of all they would have to change the name, so that means they would not be the same team anymore. Second I like driving to no cal once a year to watch the niners play. They just need to bring the Rams back to LA so I dont have to drive so far to watch them spank the Rams again.

So if the Giants moved and S.F. had no more baseball team, do you think they'd welcome the Dodgers to play in S.F.? The 49ers are rivals of L.A. Same thing.

so cal fans have nothing better to do since the bums lost, and now the angels are going to killed tonight.
LOL. The bitterness from the Norcals always cracks me up. You have all this hatred for us, and you guys aren't even on our radar. I'm not a Dodger fan or an Angel fan, but leave it to you guys to talk crap about two teams that made it two the LCS, while neither of your squads even made the playoffs.
No, I just hate this nonsense of the niners actually moving down there, so excuse me if my lashing out offended you.
Let's be realistic. The team that is most likely going to take that stadium is the chargers.
You think so? I think it's gonna be the Jags, personally. We'll see.
But like another poster said, I hope it's the Rams, that way I don't have to drive 6 hours every time I go to a Niner game. I used to go to the Niner games every year when the Rams were in Anaheim.
I wish it was the rams too, but it looks like they're trying as hard as possible to keep them in St. Louis.
I guess the jags are possible, but I don't like the idea of how that would screw up the division alignment. That, and I already know plenty of jag fans who would go absolutely insane if that happened lol.
The reason I say it's the Chargers is because they are right there, they need a new stadium, and it wouldn't screw up anything. It also wouldn't surprise me since LA "took" the Angels as well.
The Angels were not from San Diego they were From Anaheim which is a lot closer to LA than it is to San Diego

The Angel thing was Artie Moreno (Angel owner) trying to cut into the Dodger's share of the market. That definitely wasn't LA "taking" the Angels, it was the other way around.

Once again...We don't even think about you guys as rivals. Of course there are exceptions, but in general, we don't even care. Pretty much everyone I know likes the Bay Area, and a ton of the people I know from the Bay Area have a grudge against LA. It's like a little brother that desperately wants to beat his older bro in a game of 1-on-1, but the older brother doesn't really care.
The "rivalry" means waaaaaaaaaaaaay more to people from the Bay than it does to people down here.

I hope it doesn't happen and I doubt that it will. LA had their chance at a pro football team and blew it. Besides I would hate to read one day that in a compromise they changed the name of the team to the San Francisco 49er or Los Angeles. That sounds a little bit to baseballish for me.
But looking at attendance for the 2008 season on espn.com, these 3 teams have the lowest turnout:
Detroit- 435,979 (season total)
Denver- Numbers unlisted
San Francisco- Numbers unlisted
The 49ers lease with candle stick is up after the 2012 season. I could not find when the leases were up for the broncos and Lions, but they moved in to their stadiums in 2001 and 2002 respectively. So of those 3, its makes the mose logistical sense for the 9ers to move. But I am sure that there are other teams out there with leases expiring the next few years. I would check but that was a lot of work just figuring out those 3 teams situations.
---- I just read that the bills lease is up in 2013

Hopefully if this happens the bullet train will be finished.
I wonder if they'll let you bring a Webber on that thing?

Really, because all people in L.A. seem to do is run their mouths about how much better L.A. is than S.F. We're the laid back ones that don't give a crap. All the Dodger fans that come up here talk s**t, and I have to put them in their place because they haven't won a W.S. since the '80s. At least we went to one recently.
And I'm sure if you had the pathetic Raiders or Rams back in L.A., the rivalry would heat up again. Rams vs. 49ers was heated back in the day.
I think L.A. is envious of us because S.F. is cleaner and has the 49ers. Just my 2 cents. But you're not getting the 49ers, so stay in L.A. and have fun watching the Dodgers.

I'm not saying that. I'm just saying if you're in L.A. and you used to be a Rams/Raiders fan, and now if the 49ers move to L.A. you want to be a 49ers fan since the other two teams left, to me that's being a traitor.
I would never root for the Lakers or Dodgers if they moved to Northern California.
