I would put more blame on Coffee for leaving the field on Morgans long pass and not being ready for the play, which cost us a timeout because the personnel wasn't there.

I agree. A big rookie mistake cost us a timeout. A blown coverage cost us a TD. Not protecting the ball cost us a turnover. Calling a timeout did not cost us a win.

CALLING THAT TIMEOUT COST US A f**kING CHALLENGE. FALCONS GO ON AND SCORE AGAIN. IT f**kING COST US. DON'T TELL ME IT DIDN'T. SINGLETARY f**kED UP.

Calm down method. no need to freak out. take your meds and do some deep breathing then come back to the zone. happy thoughts

Do you know or remember APD (Arguello Park Dogs) by chance. Have an old friend of the same name

Well put. Thank you.
We lose a game(yes we got blown out), and all of a sudden everybody is ready to abandon ship. We are 3-2 (one play away from 4-1 *referring to the vikings game).

This was obviously not one of Sing's best coached games, nor was it a best game for ANY of the players. Offense was flat, Defense was flat, our whole team played flat. But this does not give us reason to say, "Our season is over! Fire Singletary! Put in Alex Leaf! AhhHHHH!

Have a little faith. Sheesh.

OK..........this was a waste of a thread, but lets give it some purpose.

I like Sing's approach to the game; his toughness, his old school mentality, etc. etc.

And there are times when you need to huddle the team together and give them a peptalk. BUT what he did today was NOT the time. This is not pop warner football, folks. These are professionals who have played in MANY games in MANY situations. They know when to pick things up. Now, I can understand calling a TO because your defense is winded. Or even if the opposition is making a final gamewinning drive and you want to make sure everyone is on the same page.

But really....calling a timeout in the FIRST QUARTER to give your team a pep-talk ? Is that really necessary ? Could he not have just waited for the next tv timeout or at the end of the quarter. Wasted TO which led to Walker's non-fumble going unchallenged..........

I am really too worked up to think straight and this thread was a little thin in substance but he cost us a turnover plain and simple.
Just out of curiosity, what do his players think about it... "He is a HOF, he is wonderful"

You make about as much sense as tits on a bull.

When Webzone members overreact and push the panic button over ONE FREAKING GAME.

A) His dumb pep talk didn't work as the Falcons scored on a deep touchdown pass the very next play.

B) Later, we couldn't challenge an important play because we didn't have any timeouts left.

And why didn't we have any time-outs left smart guy? You should get your facts straight before ranting and raving. Remember what Coffee did that caused that?

The head coach decided to call a huddle and try and motivate his players to play better.

How can anyone see fault in that?

idk, imo we are

3-2 going backwards

instead of 3-2 and progressing

looks like ur neck is twisted towards something else because your not thinking straight. you blame singletary for that? the teams s**tty, selfish play today cost us the win, not singletary. the players were unfocused, selfish and sloppy with their actions

Wait right there, "s**tty Selfish" play is a coaching issue. Why are you defending him. were you this nice with Nolan

it is not a coaching issue because they didnt play like this the weeks before. they let the blow out go to their heads. do you think singletary told hill to aim at ankles all day and throw behind people, or tell receivers not to block, or told bly he could make an ass of himself if he ever intercepts a pass? Singletary has done everything right to this point, the only thing i dont like is jimmy raye and shaun hill but thats all we got right now. was i this nice with nolan? yes i was actually in the first two years before the whole alex smith fiasco and the false dreams he was feeding us, people are bailing on singletary after his first major loss. get over it

So, the only thing you don't like is our entire O. Thank god it is just that

did i mention our entire O? no i didnt. shaun hill throwing at peoples ankles and behind their backs is whats annoying, rayes playcalling isnt the best either but shaun makes it look even worse

Just for the sake of entertaining you, if you remove Raye and Hill from the Offensive equation, what then are we really talking about? WR dropping balls, our top RB always hurt, rookies lost on the field, or our O-line sucking.

you just said all that stuff not me. i didnt mention Gore, or the rookies, our WR's missed some blocks but for the most part it wasnt their fault. but your gonna add something else that you think i said next

Was it a horrible loss? Yes. However, look at the big picture: We are without our best offensive player, no matter what happened today our defense is still a top 10 defense, we play in the worst division in football, we are still a game and half ahead of the Cardinals in our division, and we have a great leader in Singletary whose motivational skills are second to none. Now if we lose against the Texans in two weeks than that would be a different story, but until then we're alright.

lets see; we barely beat the cards, two run plays are our saving grace in Seattle, we loose the Viking game because our coaches allowed Favre two chance to win in the final minutes, we only beat the rams because of D and a special teams fluke and we suck collective cocks up and down the field today.

Yep... just one game.

The grace period ended last year when they gave Sing the job. Too bad for him but he doesn't get time to adjust. I have been watching a loosing team for 7 years and I am done waiting. They f**k up, I want answers.

Jeb better have a plan B in the ready.
