I think that Mall attached to the stadium would not only have been cheesy as hell but a complete disaster. Unless it was game day, who on earth would make their way to a mall in Hunters Point to shop . . . no offense to Hunters Point residents intended.

Moderators, is it possible to have a "large thread" that has all stadium info regarding planning, design, construction updates on both the Santa Clara stadium and any new info. on the Candlestick Point site.

Wow the three Stadiums in California are now officially the oldest in the league? The 'Stick, The Colisuem, and Quallcom? The Giants/Jets and Vikings are getting new digs in a couple years right?

San Franciscans are cheap. They want to bask in all the glory of a successful franchise, but pay as little as possible for it. Take a survey of fellow members on this board. Their only requirement for a new stadium is a cup holder. All we need is to buy a few million cupholders from Burgerking and place them under each seat at Candlestick, and Niner fans would be the happiest people on earth.
