I was LOL at the brawl. After the late hit, Smith was scared to fight and only celebrated his TD until teammates came to the rescue, then he pretended to be all tough all of a sudden.

Newton is the only QB to have a losing record, while being in the top 3rd of QBs with the most passing yards.

too bad they lost, Panthers will win maybe 4 or 5 games this year but next off-season will be closer to the playoffs...I'm thinking Newton should get a vote to the pro bowl; so many doubted him I'm glad he's doing well

At this point, hell yes. Until Luck can prove otherwise.
Newton is having an amazing rookie season.

Newton has actually won a Heisman and National title, he has won everywhere he's played..I know it's sooooo early, but at this point I'll say Newton wins a Super Bowl before Luck

A lot of people on the Cam bandwagon but he's like Vick and Kolb. He might have 3 tds in a game like today but don't count out the 2 fumbles. He is a gunslinger and will have a lot of ints and fumbles. Maybe it's just because he is a rookie but if he can cut the fumbles and ints he will be elite. One game you go out and throw 3 tds, the next you throw 4 ints. Have to be more consistent. He is giving them hope but they still need some pieces and he has to protect the ball better but he is way ahead of the curve.

He is a gunslinging rookie, he isn't a training wheels rookie like Dalton.
If they told him to chill out and just play safe, i'm sure he could prob cut down on the turnovers. I really don't know what their coaches are thinking, they have two good backs there and they throw the rock like 60% of the time with a rookie. They should ground and pound, and let Cam only put the team on his back when he needs to.

Panthers hit a grand slam with Cam. He's perfect. Guy can ball, no real flaws in his game. Leadership and maturity. One of a few players in the NFL people will pay to see play. Would have loved to see the guy make the playoffs this year. He would have been special.

I hate having to give this cocky douche credit, but I was wrong about him being the next Akili Smith.

"If anything, I feel like I've failed myself due to this game is about wins and losses," Newton said. "And I'm not hanging my hat on no 2-6 season and we still have an opportunity to change that."
Newton said he's a long way off from being satisfied with what he's done and ready to celebrate.
"I really haven't had the opportunity to just soak it all in and take everything in. But, nor am I trying to just sit back and say, ‘Man, look what I did,'" Newton said. "I still have things that I want to do."
This guy is going to win a Super Bowl I'd say in the next 6-7 years, he just wins
