Mike Singletary Fired

Wow, I don't know what to make of this move. I don't think we gain anything from firing Singletary before the end of the season. I thought Singletary would have been fired at the end of the season, but I certainly didn't predict a firing after the Rams game. Surprising move for me.

Well maybe now you can all see the overall advantage of letting coach "single brain cell" hang himself with his own brand of inept coaching. It wasn't that we liked watching the Niners lose, but the payoff is greater than the playoff (this year). Next year and years to come under the right coach and administration, thats a different matter.

Silver lining : haven't seen NFLN or ESPN talk about the 49ers this much in a long time!

David White is on NFL Network now.

Call it purgatory, call it suspended in time, space...whatever. But with no chance of backing into what would have been an embarrassing 1 game in the playoffs, bigmike, also known as BM, plus other such handles, is no more. He has brought this team down to the bottom rung of the ladder, with his disdain for xs and Os, he has been outcoached and been the main reason for losing in over half a dozen loses, he has been unable until the very last few games to get plays in on time, his clock mgmt was non existent, his fundamental lack of knowledge of every position except linebacker has killed us, his complete lack of experience as OC or DC or asst OC or asst DC, has once again killed us from coaching standpoint, and worst, he was hired by a 25 yr old kid, the owner's son, who had HOF stars in his eyes when he asked bM to be our HC.

His one mentor, and only mentor, was lilmikeynoln, the 2nd worst coach we have had. bm was a chip off the old block, doing things like saying "we're gonna run it down your throats" without knowing we had no OL to facilitate that, nor did we have the RB to make it happen. Plus, the BM(another handle, bowel movement mike) advertised our strategy to the first 6-8 teams we played, so guess what? We faced, or rather the Offense faced an 8 man box, sometimes growing to 10 or 11 men in box. And guess what? Surprise, we couldn't run against that many guys.

We got off to 0-6 pretty quick, wiped out any semblance of normalcy, and the team has been led by a guy who everyone out there KNEW that BM had no idea what the heck he was doing...and our game plans showed it. If we got ahead, BM played not to lose...and did , 3 times. All in all, BM had no saving graces, he was so far out of his league, and worse outdated that even the ESPN guys were making fun of him...and the 9ers. Well, i hope they got their laughs, because at the base, we have pretty decent talent. WE had the league's most woeful coach, kept on by a kid who probably was embarrassed to tell BM , "You're fired" Well now he can. Go to it junior, and by the way, jed, you might think about getting an adult in the room with you on your next hire, which by rights should be a HOFO...head of football ops...and parcells has expressed a desire reported in news about ready to leave miami. jed, you may not know much, but you could do a lot worse than hiring parcells to bring a real talented GM and HC here. Yeam it might cost you money, but so what? You owe us all , for the shiddy job you have done to date. Prove yourself a man , jed, and get us a HOFO. THen let him hire GM and HC...none of us trust you to do the right thing except walk around with a golden spoon in your mouth. YOu could do the team and your career a real favor by hiring a HOFO.

all we're asking jed is to get a grown up in the room with you when you make these decisions. Right now there are no grown ups there, and bubba it shows.
