Frank Gore!!!!!!!!!
That's not a bad choice, at all. Yahoo's notes on fantasy talks about how he is a top 5 fantasy player in the NFL, yet I bet there's tons of NFL fans around the league that really have no idea about him. I get it, we suck and all, but he's the bomb-diggity and goes majorly under the radar.
Analysts are always fondling Gore's jock. Fans across the country might not know exactly how good he is, but he's talked about enough for everyone to know he's a good player.
Just imagine if he had an OC who didn't repeatedly run him straight behind the Center. If he had an unpredictable OC during his years here, he would be in the Emmitt Smith category.
Or if he had a good run-blocking offensive line like the Vikings or Jets.
I feel very strongly about the following: Gore would be the top back in the NFL with good blocking and a good offensive system in place. The only time he had a good O-Line was 2006, when he put up 1,700 yards in his first season as a starter. People say he can't be the top back because he fumbles.. To that I say, "have you ever watched Adrian Peterson?" Dude was considered the top RB until last year when Chris Johnson eclipsed 2,000 yards and he was a fumble machine.
Crappy blocking, crappy game planning, crappy play calling, crappy players around him.. You'd think that would lead to crappy production from Frank Gore, but he consistently produces even with all that working against him and the defenses zeroing in on him. The guy is a straight up beast. His production is unbelievable when you consider all he has going against him.
