AB's Mock Draft - Final Results

And now that it's official, the Atlanta Falcons select:

Arkansas RB Darren McFadden.

With the need to both rebuild a team and an image, the Falcons couldn't pass up a chance to bring in arguably the brightest star in this year's draft. Without a true marquee name at QB, and needing far more than one player or one year to turn things around, Atlanta will at least be able to start building around a dynamic player who should re-energize both their offense and their marketing department.

And with 2 second round picks, and now back to back picks in the high 4th round, they are confident they can address their QB,Oline and DT needs later in the draft.

With the 4th overall pick in the 2008 Webzone Mock Draft, the Oakland Raiders select Defensive Tackle Glenn Dorsey, from Louisiana State University.

Ok Cortana49 is on the clock till 6:33 EST/3:33 PST
Kansas City selects:

Jake Long, Michigan, OT

The Chiefs get the guy they really need. Their offensive line is getting old and slow. They should have started drafting for this about 2 years ago, but now they can start with a good prospect.

Ok, NvChamp49ers(Jets) are up next, you have till 7PM EST/4PM PST.
In the first surprise of the draft everyone expects the Jets to go defense however we feel we need someone to protect the QB and are going BPA. We select....

Ryan Clady OT Boise ST.

We feel D'brickshaw Ferguson is going to be a better RT in this league and feel Clady is the best player on this board. Gholston was tempting but still too raw for us to pick at number 6, we need a fanchise OT and that's why we make this pick...

that is a surprise, I would've thought the Jets would go the Matt Ryan route. Sure they got Kellen Clemens, but Matt Ryan would be hard to pass up.

I had thought that D'Brick was a pass block specialist, proto-typical left tackle coming out of college. Has he really been that disappointing or do you just think that clady is that much better?

Please use the commentary thread

updated the mock selection order and selections at the web address.

Also its on the 2nd post of this thread.
So what is going to happen if someone doesn't make their pick in time? I know we usually skip that person but that seems to really mess up mock drafts.

If we can't get ahold of the "GM" and he doesn't let anyone else know who he'd like to pick, the Mock Draft committee (me, AB and evil) will choose for him to make sure the draft moves along in a timely fashion.

We skipped them until they show up and make their pick.... but you're right it can really f**k up the draft if the owner of the Pats doesnt show up until pick #17.

How about if the guy skipped does not make his pick within 2 picks (his own that was skipped and the next ex: Pats miss #7 and #8 makes their pick) the committee can get together and make a reasonable, realistic pick..??

Thoughts??
