Who would you draft at #30? Who are you hoping for? Last year the Dog made a compelling case for JJ Watt over Aldon Smith, so I'm curious to see what he thinks this year.
in madddo defense jj watt was an absoutle beast at 3-4 DE
Nobody on this board was hyping Alden Smith with our pick.

Yeah, would have liked to have him last year (badger fan, watched him play a lot) just didn't see where he would fit with Smith and McDonald who just signed a 5 year 20 million dollar deal. We really don't rotate our DL that much.

And ishkabible it's Aldon.
I wanted Watt to pair w/Justin.

I was on the Quinn bandwagon as well. Happy we took Smith now.
seems like the debate this year(at least before free agency) was fleener vs wide receiver.
i am on board with the fleener pic
I don't think Maddog is going to come out and say that he should have predicted or even say that Aldon Smith was the right selection. He's sticking to his guns and he was right JJ Watt is a beast, but I'm happy as hell we got Aldon Smith. Hopefully he can become a full time starter as be as effective as he is.

You know Fred Dean wasn't a full time starter either and he did just fine for us!

I thought Aldon looked too skinny to have any power, boy was I wrong.
Will either respond......
Sorry for the delay.

It always comes down to who is on the board. Impossible to say at this point. The team will probably sit on the pick, and wait to see who falls in their lap.

I think these players I really like will be off the board when the team picks, but if they are available, to me, it is a no-brainer:
1) Peter Konz- I think he is one of the best players in this draft, and immediately starts at center or right guard.
2) Stephen Hill- While he is super green, anyone that tall, quick, explosive, and seemingly a hard worker, is going to have a great shot at being a high-impact player.
3) Janoris Jenkins- To me, he is right there with Claiborne as the best cover corner in the draft. If this kid can put it all together, he has Pro-Bowl skills
4) Cordy Glenn- I like Glenn better than any lineman not named Konz, Kalil or DeCastro.

There are many more other guys I think highly about that I assume will be long gone by the time the team picks. Here are some high second round players I see outperforming many people's expectations: Mohamed Sanu and Brandon Thompson. I could see the team selecting these guys.

I will be on the Webzone when the team picks, and break down my best available board in advance.

So "no" to Fleener or you think he will be gone???

I don't see the team going that direction. Although the team needs two tight ends, I think Walker is a player they value as their second TE. I wouldn't be shocked to see another TE selected, but think the team would wait until the 4th round at the earliest.

I do grade Fleener as the top TE in this class, and he should work out well today. However, I don't think he is a first round selection.
