Luck is the least likely bust out of Locker and Mallett. This team hasn't had a good QB since Garcia in 2002. This team needs a QB and a new HC over anything else right now.

So you can guarantee the Fan and the organization that Luck is 110% Guaranteed. That he will not be a bust!

Obviously I can't guarantee he won't be a bust, but he's arguably the best QB prospect in a while and if you're in a reasonable position to get him......get him!
We can sort this out in December obvioulsy . . . Depends on how do we finish. How far do we need to jump to get into the top 5? How many of the teams ahead of us (if any) need a QB?

We'll see.

Totally agree, but with the season already down the tubes this is the only thing we can talk about that isn't too depressing.

I don't know about in a while, I thought Ryan and Bradford were pretty good. I agree get him if he is there, but trading a 1st Rd. in 2012 is not reasonable.

He will when we hire Harbaugh as HC!!!

That's a very large maybe....too many people are calling for Luck without even knowing if he will come out.

Here's a cold dose of reality, Luck doesn't come out and Locker goes #1 to Buffalo....then what?

Take the best rushing OLB or DB and then draft Stanzi in the 2nd round.
the way we play, might be our pick anyways.

I think Luck is the best QB prospect in a LONG TIME, so I would do it.

HELL NO.
We might trade down

It may not seem reasonable right now, but if he guides us to the playoffs and eventually wins a Super Bowl , that future 2012 pick we sacrificed becomes irrelevant.

I see what you're saying though, the Bears gave up a king's ransom for Jay Cutler, and could of used some of those picks they sacrificed to get some o-lineman to block for him. Even with Cutler they're mediocre at best.

This franchise and its fans have been aching for a franchise QB since Young.....a 1st and 2nd in 2011 and a 1st in 2012 isn't that bad if you hit it out of the park.

Even if we're at the 3rd/4th overall pick by January, I'd do whatever it takes to swap with (possibly) Buffalo to move up to #1. Bills want Luck, but if they could get something sweet, I'm FOR SURE they'd settle for Jake Locker at #3/#4.

-But this is IF Luck declares...

No chance, the way Buffalo is playing they're set to go 1-15/0-16, while we're en-route to some bulls**t moral victory wins against the Broncos, Bucs, Cards, and Rams.

This team is gonna f**k itself out of a high draft pick again (when there's really no reason to win anymore), it always happens.
