T brown is IMO the one we really need to lock up....aside from that, we are pretty loaded with other options. Brown didnt give up,a td last year in the regular season, that's sick

Hopefully Justin smith stays for a hometown discount

All in bold are essentially irrelevant/easily replaceable IMO.


Out of that list I see Justin Smith, Boldin, Tarell Brown, Manningham, McCoy and Williams as the priorities to re-sign.

I think of that group we may go after t. Brown and smith but that's it. Also if nnamdi proves to be a better player than rogers weay try to get him for cheaper than rogers' 8 mill per year. Seems like we never let anyone we really want to stay hit free agency.

Only must keep is Justin Smith. Rest are replaceable. If we could keep anyone else, Boldin, Brown, Dawson, McCoy/Tolzien, Manningham and Nnamdi in those order.

I hope Smith comes back and I would love to see Boldin back. Signing Brown to another contract would ease the pressure of having to draft CB's next year.

I could see us extending Brown at the right price, resigning Tolzien or McCoy, Justin Smith, and Asomugha depending on how he performs this year.

I also like Kyle Williams to return in a Ted Ginn like role and for similar money as well. Having Kyle Williams as the 5th receiver and punt returner isn't a bad deal unless we can draft a rookie to beat him out. Mario Manningham could probably be a cheap resign as well.

My thoughts for 2014 free agency are that we will try to get Brown for say 3 or so years at a reasonable price but he could go elsewhere and make more money. He very well could be gone. If he does well Boldin would likely come back for 1 more year. Same With Dawson and Nnamdi. I think we could sign McCoy for say 2-3 years over Tolzien but both are possible. I think Goodwin and Haralson are probably gone and Whitner and Dixon possibly gone. The rest I won't speculate on as they could be cut before this year so obviously wouldn't be worries when they become free agents after the year.

Also, we very well could let a lot of guys go again to make room for 2015 FA which is loaded. Kaepernick, Aldon, Iupati (working on now), Crabtree, Culliver, Hunter, Bruce Miller, Kilgore, Dorsey, Celek, Lockette

Expect to lose some of those guys. I would say Crabtree and Hunter could be gone, maybe even Culliver. I think we will do what it takes to sign Kaepernick and Aldon. Iupati should be done by next seasons start so no worries there. I think Miller will be back; he is one of the best FB's in the league. The rest won't speculate on. It's nice to have Anthony Davis done but would be even better to get Iupati and Kaepernick and/or Aldon done before the 2014 season starts. However, don't be surprised if we go for the easier ones first in Miller, Culliver, Hunter or Kilgore, etc.
