Packers praise 49ers WR Deebo Samuel: 'One of the more elite players in this league'

By Kirk Larrabee

There's something significantly different about San Francisco 49ers on offense this week compared to where they were when they played the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 of the regular season. That difference is the role of wide receiver Deebo Samuel, whose emergence as a running back throughout the course of the season makes the 49ers more difficult to stop than they were when they fell 30-28 to the Packers at Levi's Stadium on September 26. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is still dealing with a thumb injury, but he delivered a gutsy performance in last weekend's regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams. He's just one of the

This Niners season could be considered one of the greatest runs in NFL history. They aren't a top seed, division winner, or the most dominant team in the league. This year, they went from a struggling team to becoming the most-feared team in the postseason. After suffering an embarrassing 31-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9, the 3-5 49ers' season looked to be on the brink of disaster going into a Monday night matchup with the hated 7-2 division rival Los Angeles Rams. Pat McAfee and A.J. Hawk of the Pat McAfee Show both picked the Rams to beat the 49ers, while shows such as
