Source: Panthers’ McDermott to interview with 49ers next week

Carolina defensive coordinator Sean McDermott is scheduled to interview next week for the 49ers head-coaching vacancy, becoming the seventh confirmed candidate for the job.The date and location for the interview with McDermott with 49ers executives Jed York and Paraag Marathe are being arranged, a league source told CSNBayArea.com on Thursday.McDermott, 42, interviewed Wednesday for the Buffalo Bills job, the club announced. He is scheduled to interview with the San Diego Chargers on Saturday, according to a source.
