San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters during a conference call on Monday, one day after the team's 32-29 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Here's everything he said.

Opening comments:
"Injuries from the game. [WR] Deebo [Samuel Sr.] had a hamstring. Got it pretty good so he's going to miss some time. [LB Garret] Wallow in the same boat. Not quite as bad as Deebo's, but he's going to miss at least a couple weeks also. That was it from the game."
Do you have any reaction to the NFL's one-game suspension on LB Dre Greenlaw?
"I was disappointed they decided to do that, but it is what it is. I just found out a little bit ago, or when you guys did. Just finished up with the coaches. Just disappointed, but got to deal with it."
Do you have any indication what the appeals process could lead to and do you go into this week half expecting him to be able to play and half not?
"I was told that there's an appeal process tomorrow. I was also told a couple hours ago that he was suspended. So, I'm assuming he is. Hopefully the appeal process can go better tomorrow, we can get it rescinded, but got to wait to see how that goes."
LB Jaden Dugger ended up coming in and playing that weakside spot for him. How do you think he did and where do things stand with LB Nick Martin? Is he a possibility to be brought back?
"Nick is getting close. I did not check today, so I'm not exactly, it says here actually, I'm going to continue evaluating throughout the week. Oh wait, sorry, that's [DL] Nick Bosa, not Nick Martin. No, I haven't asked about Nick. I know he's getting close, but that's something we'll probably look into in these next couple days. But, I also thought Dugger played really well in that spot. Got to move there with a few reps, especially losing Wallow, and I thought he played really well."
Since you brought it up, Bosa did say that he was optimistic that he could play against Washington. Is that the team's reading on the situation as well?
"We know he's got a chance. I think him, [FB] Kyle Juszczyk and [DL] James Thompson [Jr.] are all kind of in the same boat. They've all got a chance, but definitely not saying they're good to go right now. We've got to continue to evaluate them throughout the week and it'll take all week, but hopefully they can get there."
What about punt returner? Did WR Jacob Cowing's muff yesterday, was that enough to make you rethink that position? I know you've got some different options for that role.
"No, it wasn't enough. It's something that he can't do. Should have caught a fair catch, called a fair catch on it, but no we're not changing his position yet. I thought he did a couple good things in the game too, but nothing right now."
How do you feel right now about your depth at wide receiver? Do you have enough on your 53 and practice squad to get you through this time until some guys start coming back?
"I think we have enough. We've got three guys on practice squad also who can help. Anytime you lose this number of guys, four guys or five guys whatever it is, it's a huge challenge. But, we do have guys in this building who can do it and we'll always look."
It looked as if WR Brandin Cooks played just about every snap after Deebo left the game. Is he the next guy up now that Deebo's going to miss some time?
"Well, yeah. With Deebo out, we have five guys on the roster and Deebo being out, that would be four. So the next guys up to get activated would be one of the three guys on practice squad. Because also in that game Jake went down with an ankle. He ended up being all right, but the numbers got low real quick. That's why we always like to get five up for game day. We've got four guys on our roster, so we'll most likely decide on one of those guys throughout the week."
What was your assessment of S Malik Mustapha? It seemed like he had a number of big hits, including that last big one on Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
"I thought he played unbelievable. He had a number of them throughout the game and that play at the end was such a big play. Not only the hit on JSN, but also the fourth-down, being able to get him out of bounds there right at the sticks with [Seattle Seahawks WR Cooper] Kupp. So, he's been waiting for that moment and he was ready for it. He did a hell of a job."
How did DL Mykel Williams do in the game? I think he played 23 snaps. Was that about what you guys were hoping to see from him?
"Yeah, that was our goal to get him around that area. I thought he did a real good job. It was a real good first game back. He didn't have any bad plays. He had two good plays of sniffing out a screen twice. I thought he had a real good first step for him coming back."
Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris just seems to be such a great fit as a defensive coordinator. So many young players are coming of age and playing well. How would you describe the job that Raheem has done and does this even surprise you at all?
"It doesn't surprise me with Raheem. I've just been around him for too long. He's one of the best people and best coaches I've ever been around. I tried to bring him here originally when I left Atlanta. They wouldn't let him out. So, it's been a long time coming to get him here. He's done an unbelievable job this year, especially with the injuries, but just overall everything he's mixed up schematically. I love the confidence he's given our DBs and the way they've been playing since training camp. He's had a real huge effect on this team and we're very lucky to have him."
With TE Luke Farrell, it looked like he did a lot of the Kyle Juszczyk work yesterday. How did he do and has he made a big leap from where he was early last season with you guys?
"Yeah, I thought he did a hell of a job. It was a huge challenge on him. He hasn't had all those reps doing that stuff and he worked at it all week. He probably put in the most work out of any guy on our team. And then to have his first time having to do that stuff with the crowd noise and stuff is as big of a challenge as it gets. I thought he did a hell of a job with it. He's taken a huge step between last year and this year. I think just being in our offense for another year, he was night and day difference in OTAs and training camp, just being more comfortable with the techniques that we ask him to do and the overall offense. I think he's been an unsung hero for us just how he blocks and does a lot of the dirty work. I think he's going to continue to get better throughout the year too."
On the one that QB Brock Purdy snuck into WR Mike Evans in a big crowd, I think it was a first-and-20 play, what did you see on that play? It just seemed like there were a lot of defenders there, but the throw was perfect and the catch was amazing, if you can recall that play.
"Yeah, it was awesome. It was tight coverage and Mike ended up getting around the guy. Brock ended up waiting, took an extra hitch to get it to him and just threw it up in there. And I think they're hitting Mike before the play also. And so, for him to come down with that when they're all around and to be able to take those hits like he has with the ribs and stuff, it was huge. The way those guys played in the fourth quarter, you could really feel it the way Brock started ripping the ball and just being more aggressive in the fourth. I thought they both kind of took it over and really won that game there at the end for us."
