Is that how Rubz died? I'm undergoing treatment myself. You just take it week to week. You never know if it's progressing until they do another scan

that's what i was reading on here. i have seen reports that more and more ppl are getting it, in some cases even young ppl.

This is antiquated thinking. There is a reason why Arraez cant stick on a team. That reason is because high batting average, low production is not conducive to winning. Now I will say this. Ron Washington has worked wonders with his defense. His defense is part of why he wasnt sticking on teams. With the way he has played defense this year, his value is definitely higher than it has been.

i like ron i remember watching clips of him doing wonders with ozzie albies, that was a great get imo to have him on staff

to me arraez, he's a real hitter. i don't know why he can't stick. his working hard to improve his game shows me he is still improving and wanting to get better. he's leading our team in war, more than double what willy has.

willy isn't a real hitter he just swings hard and hopes to run into the ball once a week. that's all chap does either, the saving grace for him is he's a platinum glove type fielder, willy is just awful seems a nice guy but that's a terrible contract

At least the treatments aren't painful. Just a 30 minute infusion every 6 weeks. They've actually come out with a new version where you can just get an injection. I don't know if they'll switch me. The thing is anyone can develop cancer anywhere in the body. I lived 78 years and never even went to the hospital. All of a sudden bingo. Treatments are getting better so there's hope. Thanks for the encouragement.

By the way, each treatment costs $60,000. Thank goodness I have insurance. I'm getting these every 6 weeks for a year so I would be bankrupt if I had to pay out of my own pocket. It's a shame some people need to chose between death, bankruptcy or treatment.

I read that they want a 1st baseman but they're looking for a right handed bat. Seems like Devers would be a great fit in Yankee Stadium with that short right field porch. Money certainly is never an issue with them. It would also drive their long time rivals the Red Sox crazy if he hit HRs against them.

I have a good friend who developed lung cancer (a tumor) after 30-years of smoking. 25-years ago, the chances of survival with a lung tumor were not good. In many cases the treatment would have been full or partial removal of one lung.

My friend did six months of serious chemo. End result? Tumor gone. Cancer gone. No surgery required. My friend still has two lungs. That's just unheard of. So, please sir, hang in there.

I actually thought the Giants were going to win their 4th straight for the first time the way Webb was pitching. All of a sudden he hits a batter, walks the next guy and bam. Three run HR. I knew right then that they would end up losing. That game was a perfect example of how this season has gone. They out played the Ms all day and lost.

The Giants still haven't had a winning streak over 3 games and haven't swept a single series. No team in MLB history has ever done this. This team may make history by doing one or both.

This isn't the right forum for it, but both my parents were straight out of the WWII generation. I was a very late baby. But, as you probably know, people out of that generation consumed alcohol and smoked like both products were going to be outlawed at 7PM that night. Most uncles and aunts were out of the same generation. Only two uncles avoided the alcohol and cigarette trap. Both of them would live the longest (big shock).

I can remember that by the 1970's that both of my parents knew these two habits had the capability of killing them. But they still did it. They reasoned that there were many documented examples of men and women with similar habits who lived well into their 80's or 90's, so they believed they would be a part of that crowd. Or, they just didn't want to quit. Neither of them survived for very long. Dad was dead by age 54. Mom went at 63. Which was quite normal for people with both habits. It shaved 30-40 years off of their lives. Oddly enough it was my mother's older sister, my aunt, who dodged the bullet. Smoked like a train. Margaritas every night at 5PM. She was almost 90 when she passed.
