Do we trade Adames too? His BA is lower than Chapman. He has more SOs and fewer walks. Chapman has 16 RBI and Adames has 17 even though he has 6 HRs to 1 for Chapman. Their OPS is about the same.

Trading Chapman or Adames would be difficult with their contracts. Both of these players have shown they usually hit better in the 2nd half of the year.

One of the announcers on KNBR the other day was floating a theory that Chapman isn't digging Tony Vs college coaching style. So he's quietly protesting by hitting bad, making errors, and moping. Something is way off with him because both offense and defense are sub par. He has a no trade clause and I don't see any team eager to sign him at this current trajectory.

Schmitt makes him expendable but I could also see us trading Arraez since he's on a one year and putting Schmitt back at 2nd.

If you look at Chapmans's numbers at bat and in the field they're right about where they've been the last 2 seasons. He was only batting .218 last season on May 26 so he's ahead of that. His fielding is about the same. He's at .962. The past 2 years he was at .963 and 961. If you think back you'll remember that he had a rough period early last year and committed about 3 errors in a week. For a player that doean't make a lot of errors that's a lot and gives the impression that his fielding is way off. He's still among the best 3rd basemen in the league. The one big drop off has been the HRs. Only one HR is puzzling. Still he has almost as many RBI as Adames who has 7 HRs. 16 for Chapman and 18 for Adames. Everything else is the same or better than it was last season at this time.

Still I wouldn't mind if they traded him as long as they get a good player back. Either a prospect of someone that can help right now. I just don't know if they can trade him. It would take a team that thinks they're in contention but feels they have a hole at 3rd base. At 33 no team would view him as a building block for the future.

F**k Chapman if true.

I seriously doubt that Chapman is trying to play poorly because he doesn't like the manager. If he wanted out I'm sure he would say so. He would try to maximize his trade value.
Base running and bullpen. A giant weakness this season.
First thing we need to do is fire Hector Borg.
Lol Borg.
It's ok Tony. Just says Hector sucks ass and no one will question it.

I check the minor league stats a lot and the Giants A, high A and AA teams are all doing well. They have some promising talent at all those levels as well as the rookie league. Unfortunately it's hard to get excited about these players when we've seen so many high prospects flame out before they ever become major leaguers. I keep hoping that in a couple years we'll see these guys on the Giants but until they arrive and thrive I'll remain skeptical based on recent failures. Hopefully under Posey they'll do a better job of developing these guys as well as picking players in the draft.

Even after today's interview on KNBR Tony is starting to lose me. Tony needs to take accountability for himself and his staff. 3rd base coach even if it's his blood relative needs to be re assigned. Changes in the bullpen need to happen otherwise we're headed to 100 loss and he will be 1 and done.
Hector sucks ass and needs to be moved. But it wasn't his fault yesterday that Adames got hosed at the plate. Ball took a lucky bounce right into the LFers hand and they made the perfect relay and throw. Slightly offline and he's safe. Not Arreaz getting picked at 2nd right after taking the bat our of Schmitt's hands is s**t.

I think the mistake on the play where Adames got thrown out was on ther 3rd base coach. He has to know how good fielder's arm is but even more he has to be aware that one of their 2 best hitters is coming up. This wasn't the1st error in judgement Borg has made.

💯 % on this. Even little league coaches know who's due up with less than 2 outs. This dude Borg if he was guessing is guessing wrong on every time he sends someone, or doesn't send someone. He needs to be moved so not sure what the delay is. Tony V is losing games and putting his neck on the line for loyalty.
Nah. If he held him and they didn't score, he'd be getting roasted also. There was already one out. The left fielders arm wasn't good. He made a nice throw to the relay man and his throw was perfect ready to tag him out. Had it been slightly offline like most are, Adames is safe.

I was talking about the 3rd base coach. He sucks but that wasn't on him. He's made a s**t ton of mistakes this year though.

Borg has been reassigned and replaced at 3rd by Wotus.
