IF Farhan Farquad is waiting to pay Ohtani, what if he goes somewhere else like the billion dollar dodgers?

Farhan is not waiting to pay Ohtani. He has tried to land multiple big time players and failed. Ohtani will be another failed signing, assuming he goes in on it.

This team is built with leftovers on offense, some decent starting pitching and a god awful bullpen. Unless he actually lands a star, this is out future. .500 team.

Well, .385 right now but who is counting.

I think Farhan is willing, guys choose not to sign here. If you are Ohtani, for what reason do you want to be sandwiched between Villar and Ruf on the lineup card? Ohtani can't make the postseason now, with Trout and a lot of big FA gets for the Angels. If he wants to play in October, do you think he will sign here?

My post suggests he is willing to spend otherwise he wouldn't have been in on Harper and Judge for example. So agree.

And I don't blame Ohtani if he doesn't sign with a below .500 team. But I do blame Farhan for not being able to close with a star, and building a team that is below .500.

The team does stink and feels like a 100 game loser. Rodon was their most dominant pitcher they let walk. Webb is a solid starter but not a dominant #1 like we had. Disco is an alright 4th starter that gets you 5 innings. The others including the bullpen are gimmicky pictures.
We signed former decent players who are injury prone, and the Rogers bro needs a shrink. I can't believe we signed him to a big contract.
I think Farhan is fine for another few years to see how his farm develops. The previous GMs traded away all the talent to supplement our championship runs. Bart was the #2 overall? And he's a bust.

Besides Bryan Reynolds I'm having a hard time thinking of more talent we traded and took the L on

Adam Duval showed no signs for us

we just had a core to build around. Posey, bum, craw, etc. who were at their ripe age

Throw away this year and get Ohtani next year and start there

Lucious Fox never developed but Arroyo finally has in Boston. (His 4th team)
Phil Bickford comes to mind as well...

I wouldnt say Arroyo developed. If he was a Giant, I dont even know if he would be a starter. With as bad as we are, that is saying a lot IMO.
Estrada is horrible in the OF. But with this s**tty team they are trying to get his bat in the lineup with Villar and Davis.

The bad luck continues
f**king Webb. Pitched really well and then gives up another bad homer
Ughhh come on Webb. I want nothing more than for you to make me look stupid and prove you are a #1.
And another L

5-10, and it's not like there losing against good teams.
I am not even sure what Faharn's plan for the team is anymore.

If Arroyo is the other example then I'm cool with it lol

Just hope Luciano, Ramos, and Bart will be cornerstones

Is it the offseason yet, I think this has been the worst giants roster ever assembled that I have seen since watching baseball

The Giants are always in the convo for a big free agent. They just use the Giants offer to leverage a better one. Seems that no one genuinely wants to play here, only if it's their last choice.
