It will be interesting to hear what Bill Laskey says on the postgame today. He has been highly critical of Gabe Kapler's usage of the bullpen and hasn't been shy about voicing his opinions. This is the second straight game where the bullpen has blown a big lead. I'm kind of wondering why Brebbia was kept in the game after it became clear that he couldn't get a little leaguer out, let alone a major league ballplayer.

You can't lose what you never had. We just got used again.

This is basically a Triple A+ team. They have no stars at all on offense. Just journeymen or young players who are struggling to make it at this level. They seem to think they can be competitive by picking up players that other teams release and then hoping they somehow find new life with the Giants. The 2021 season when they won 107 games was the worst thing that could have happened to them. Now they think that if they did it once they can do it again.

This team needs a complete overhaul starting with the GM. Then the manager and then the minor league coaches. Maybe it needs new ownership too. Someone who won't be content to just be competitive. The stadium has been paid off for 3 or 4 years now. They have no big contracts that are holding them back. Farhan just doesn't like to pay.

yea i meant like by not getting him, we were not going to compete with the dodgers or padres, with him i feel we would have been in the mix, so its playing out as i expected, no superstar to gravitate too, team seems completely lost with a void of leadership, theres a reason why philly didn't want kap, kap and farharn are a joke

Lurie is rarely critical of the Giants. Unlike Bill Laskey, Who, surprisingly, was pulled off the postgame show yesterday.

The team does stink and feels like a 100 game loser. Rodon was their most dominant pitcher they let walk. Webb is a solid starter but not a dominant #1 like we had. Disco is an alright 4th starter that gets you 5 innings. The others including the bullpen are gimmicky pictures.
We signed former decent players who are injury prone, and the Rogers bro needs a shrink. I can't believe we signed him to a big contract.
I think Farhan is fine for another few years to see how his farm develops. The previous GMs traded away all the talent to supplement our championship runs. Bart was the #2 overall? And he's a bust.

Besides Bryan Reynolds I'm having a hard time thinking of more talent we traded and took the L on

Adam Duval showed no signs for us

we just had a core to build around. Posey, bum, craw, etc. who were at their ripe age

Throw away this year and get Ohtani next year and start there

Farhan is not waiting to pay Ohtani. He has tried to land multiple big time players and failed. Ohtani will be another failed signing, assuming he goes in on it.

This team is built with leftovers on offense, some decent starting pitching and a god awful bullpen. Unless he actually lands a star, this is out future. .500 team.
