Doesn't that prove my point? You think if they vacate 17 anyone in the year 2121 will be talking about it? If they vacated 1919, you and I would have nooo idea that or why it was vacated. You know what it would do? Make the players and fans during that period feel better about their sport which is exactly what would happen now.
You just proved MY point. They didn't vacate 1919, but everyone still remembers it as a bad thing. They didn't need to erase history for people to understand the gravity of it.
Got it. So everyone that cheats keeps what they won to make sure everyone remembers they cheated to win it. LMAO
You continue to miss the point. The Astros are keeping NOTHING! Barry Bonds' 762 HR's are more recognized by the fans than the Astros 2017 title. The 2017 title is gone. Its ruined. Nobody acknowledges it, or gives them any credit for it. If Altuve goes up to someone and saying "I won a WS ring in 2017" they would say "No, you cheated." Whether its on paper or not, that title is void. I cant understand why you think the technicality of vacating the title would mean anything at this point.
Any Astros player who still thinks their title is legitimate is delusional. They all know the truth, and cant possibly look at their ring and be proud, which is the essence of winning a title. They're convicted as guilty in the court of public opinion, which is really how history is determined, and their hardware is now just that.
