The nuances. Runs too upright. Can't block. The playbook? Too old (23). Too short. Never worn a helmet. The nuances.
Ya know if we talk him down enough he just might get a run.

He was always good at demolishing a good steak as well as other nocturnal carnivorous activities.

Word is that Hayne has settled his US civil case for an alleged sexual assault
https://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/report-jarryd-hayne-settles-us-rape-case/news-story/21859c7b3115ff311cee49af30abc036
He is facing trial next year at Newcastle District Court for another allegation of sexual assault where it is alleged he went to a woman's house in the Hunter Valley after meeting her on Tinder, took her into her room, stripped her naked and bit her on the kitty cat. Woman reportedly went to the emergency ward straight away and had to have surgery to fix the damage.

He could've done well in the regular season as well. You can't teach speed, vision, and his quick nimble feet. And he has the size to hold up.
He would have done well in Kyle's system imo. I think his confidence was shot out here. But correct me if I'm wrong, he also had issues picking up playbooks right? More so he's an accomplished player from another sport and didn't want to put the time in.
I know I'll get attacked by the haters and the Aussies who don't want to come off like Hayne Homers. But I liked the guy on our team. Wish we could have kept him during those boring seasons.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he wasn't a good athlete. I do think he could have had a decent career in the NFL if he'd been prepared to grind it out.
Hayne had a problem with training habits long before he went over there. He was always extremely gifted and talented enough to not need to grind on the training paddock and still be better than most. His team in the NRL was also not too good so the coaches let him get away with it because they couldn't afford to lose him. If he had a work ethic to match his talent he could have been the best player in the NRL in the last 20 years. Instead, he showed glimpses of greatness but was never as consistently good as the true champions.
So yeah, I think having to start over with Chip and a second offensive scheme in as many years was too much. The Fiji Rugby Sevens Olympic team presented a convenient and somewhat face-saving exit opportunity. He had gone on about faith and commitment to his big adventure so much that he needed that branch to swing to.
In saying all that I still give him props for having the guts to take on the challenge but in the end, the habits and attitude to hard work he took with him is what I believe brought him undone.

He had a low attention span. He was great in the pre season and showed so much promise but started muffing it all over the place in the regular season but for a few glimpses of light like his 34 yard return against Arizona etc.
I think it all went to his head and he liked to party too much. There was that incident where he took a young girl back to his room in San Fran and she woke up all bloody in her privates. This is the matter he just settled. She was drunk and did not remember how it happened. It is very similar to the matter he is going to trial for next year for sexual assault.
It is clear he had his head elsewhere then in the playbook. He did not put in the effort and it was clear because he did not develop which he should have given his natural abilities. The NFL is a lot more competitive then the Rugby League back in Australia and he could get away with bludging during training in Australia but not in the NFL. He lacked the commitment and it became all to clear to everyone. Then he quit.
That is why we really don't like him. He quit after we all backed him. He was a phoney. Nobody likes a phoney

There might be some truth in that. His "I had a dream I wanted to go on the Olympic Rugby 7s journey" reeked of BS

He went from hero to zero.
His trial is set for May next year. He is on a Jesus teaching retreat in outback Western Australia somewhere at the moment.
