Hellickson is a RH, so unless he's getting scratched this lineup makes no sense for Bochy with Duffy and Maxwell in for Panik and Blanco.

figures that Bochy used to sit Belt against LHP's all the time but now he does this

Bochy is a HOF'er and all but I can't help but

Lol. If you did, you'd realize he's putting Posey in is because no one on the Giants list has more World Series rings than him while almost everyone on the Yanks list has more World Series rings than Jeter (minus Rivera).

I don't have a problem putting Posey in, at all. But you can easily make an argument that Jeter is just as impactful, but I will just leave it at that. Getting irritated over it is plain dumb.

Anyways.

Again, they aren't interchangeable pieces. Posey wouldnt make the Yankees top 4 either. I would put Jeter in the Giants top 4 if he had been a Giant.

There is ZERO argument for Jeter being in the Yankees top 4. There is no case. The Yankees top 4 is Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, and Mantle, end of story. Thats why id be annoyed if Yankee fans put Jeter in. It would mean they didnt know anything about baseball history.

There IS an argument for Posey being in the Giants top 4. It hinges on how much you value rings, but theres a reasonable case.

Not sure how many different ways I can explain it so you understand.

FWIW I don't memorize whether someone is LH or RH unless they're well known guys but as soon as I saw the lineup I went to check whether Hellickson was LH to see if the lineup made sense.

Garce is too cool to check his thoughts before he posts I guess
Lol at the last few posts. Garce, own up to it. Lol.
Well, Baggs just tweeted he has a reverse split. I guess RH hit him better than LH.

I was surprised too considering how Bochy always plays the LH/RH match-ups but figured there was some reason for it even though it made zero sense for his normal convention.

Sitting Panik in the 3rd game of the year makes zero sense unless the opposing pitcher had a great track record against him.

I assume he thinks Duffy was hot in ST and wants to get him some ABs and he had an excuse to do so with Hellickson's split. Not saying I agree with it though.

Hellickson is pretty well known. He did win the AL ROY award a few years ago. Garce was too fixated I guess with questioning 99's opinion on Yankee players.
Belt might be available to pinch hit tonight
