Who knows, he may never make the majors but I'm always intrigued by a signing, especially a pitcher since the Giants seem excellent in evaluating them and finding them.

How about we get a real LF instead!

I wish I could be so confident. Given that the guy has had 1 good year ever I kind of doubt it. Hope you are right though

I just think him not playing ever day, having to earn a spot, and being back with the giants could give him some momentum... its just a hunch, so it means absolutely nothing... but I just wont be surprised if he contributes a lot to the team.

I think mainly he will be a beast late in games... PR... stealing .... defense - he will probably be inconsistant as usual at the plate doe...

Supposedly current rumor on Weezy is the Mets want him, but not to a major league deal. Schulman thinks the longer he waits, the more likely it is he's back.
Wilson should just come back already.

Can't blame Brian Wilson for holding out. The dude is trying to get the best possible contract. Who would not?

It's a business decision, not a question of nostalgia. The guy has to prove he is ready to roll and has yet to prove he can hang with the big boys. Imagine giving him a huge guaranteed contract and he throws his arm out immediately thereafter,. No team in their right mind would do that. I'm like Garcia, believe he will come back to the Giants, If he does fall flat, he can work on developing his business contacts in San Francisco.
