The Official GREATEST OFFSEASON IN NBA HISTORY

Quote:
But James does not have the heart of a champion. He does not have the competitive fire of Jordan, the bull-headed determination of Kobe Bryant, the quiet self-confidence of Tim Duncan, the willful defiance of Isiah or the winning-is-everything hunger of Magic Johnson.

He is an extremely gifted player who wants the easy way out.

He's been with the f**king team for 7 years and the best they could do is Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison? I'm sorry, but you guys f**ked up. If the Warriors lucked into Lebron James, I wouldn't be depressed at all if he left us after 7 years of terrible teammates

This is pretty much how i feel about it.

Agreed. Can you really hate the guy for going to the team where he thinks he can win best? Gimme a break. You're telling me you guys wouldn't go to a team most stacked to win a ring?!?!

Not when Im at talented as LeBron and have the opportunity to call myself the GOAT when my career is all said and done assuming I play it all right...he HAD a lot to win and a lot to lose pending how he played his future...I dont even think leaving Cleveland would have obliterated his legacy the way going to Miami has, it obviously would have been GREAT for his legacy to stay in Cleveland, but even a move to the Nets, Bulls, or Knicks would have been okh for his legacy...

But nope...now his legacy is beyond tarnished...its simply dead...
I actually thought Lebron should have gone to Chicago. They have a rising star and PG in Derrick Rose. They have a feisty center in Joakim Noah. He reminds me of Dennis Rodman. Boozer is a good low post player though he has injury history. And by signing with Miami, they won't have much $ to put together the rest of the team.

awesome article and agreed with everything.
The Cavs should change their motto from:

We Are All Witness

to:

We Are All Witness to Classlessness
i must say....the NBA hasn't been in the heads of this many people at this time of year IN A LONG ASS TIME.

Noah reminds you of Rodman?

he wouldve reached the east finals imo with that team this yr and possibly the finals and by the following yr be true contenders for a title
people will get over it, cleveland fans won't

I'm gonna be rooting for Miami...! Lebron is my fav. player in the NBA (though I really didn't like how he handled this off-season) followed closely by Wade. Two of my favorite players are gonna be on the same team. I LIKE IT

Now, lets go sign an average center and a shooter...and win this b***h!

For the sake of argument, if he wins 7 championships... His legacy is still dead? I just don't see how it dies when he goes to a team and has the potential to win a bunch of championships. Jordan had good players with him, too. Pippen and Rodman? And now LBJ has Wade and Bosh? I dunno. I understand your assessment but at the same time agree with LBJ's move. He wants to win, period.

I don't blame him for doing what he did, but the way he did it was pretty annoying. Wish he had just made a decision like everyone else and not made such a spectacle of himself. I think it made me feel worse for Cleveland.

Now that I can agree with.

Noah reminds you of Rodman?

Yeah. Both are feisty, dive on the floor for the ball players. Very emotional. Their offense is really not the best part of their game, but Noah's is better than Rodman. Both are good defenders. Both just very unique individuals with definitely their own styles. Look at the suit Noah wore during the draft.
