If Wilson brings back Thoronton and Marleau he deserves to be fired. This team has peaked with those two.

doesnt matter

If you keep them, you know you can still have a chance at the cup

if you lose them, your gonna get some quality pieces in return.

Its not just thornton and patty not showing up in the playoffs, its the whole team (minus boyle). Yes, they should be the ones stepping up, but I give them one more year or at least till the deadline

I do agree. Eventually, we have to get it done. With or without them, we need to find a way.

if we want hedman we need to trade for the 2nd overall with tb. tb either takes hedman or trades out. i do believe we dw wants hedman but the question is are we willing to give up a huge price to get him and is marleau or nabby willing to waive their ntc cuz 1 of them will be wanted by tb including a buch of others and future picks.

i want hedman as well but not in the extent of killing our depth which were well known for and our future. even though were choking we are not far away from finally bringing this damn cup to sj and winning multiple cups imo.

Trade nabby, erhoff, cheech, maybe a 1 next year (if we have it).

Hedman is from Sweden, should help us get gustavasson.

I doubt we trade up though
I wouldn't expect any team to successfully trade into the top 5 selections unless they break the bank with their offer.
TRade Nabby.

sorry i'm a nabby fan but i think his time is done with the sharks...been going at it for a good 7-8 years

trading nabby will be tough since he does have a ntc. i can see him accepting a trade to the caps with his friend ovechkin and fellow russians semin, fedorov and varlamov. varlamov was real good for them in the playoffs but i would bet the caps would prefer nabby over varlamov for a yr to mentor him.

im not so sure i would trade nabby unless we can get a proven good goalie back. as you can see having no goalie and still being a good team will get you no where

yea i know...sorry fogot to add that, about getting a good young goalie back..
i wouldn't be suprised if he was on the caps...looks like a good home for nabby.
even though i still like him as a player.

and i have no idea why all that s**t on top came out in bold. haha
Ryane Clowe wants to remain in San Jose.

The forward is eligible to become a restricted free agent on July 1, but it appears that he would rather sign with the Sharks than become an RFA. The two sides have exchanged proposals and are still negotiating. "Obviously I want to get something done. I want to stay in San Jose — that’s the No. 1 goal," Clowe said. "Hopefully we can work out something longer term, a longer extension. We’re in the process." Clowe had the best season of his NHL career with 22 goals and 51 points in 71 games. He is a top-six forward in San Jose and should only get better next season.

per pollack in the merc news

although tsn said the sharks may trade him
One name that has suddenly popped up on the trade front is Ryane Clowe of the San Jose Sharks. The power winger is a restricted free agent July 1, and two NHL GMs told ESPN.com Clowe is available.

-per espn

wtf dougie

wtf man
Also a half hour before the draft, it was interesting to see Sharks GM Doug Wilson and a Maple Leafs assistant GM in deep converstion. Talk about two teams trying hard to make a deal this week. Wilson told ESPN.com earlier this evening he's "taking a lot of calls."
