So that has to be a relief for you.
Notice I wasn't 100% sure, since I just thought I saw the name :P

Is Anton Gustavsson a goalie? Edit: He's a center.

Hey fellas, if you're interested -- I was snooping around looking at NHL Draft stuff, and any resources on prospect information. Here are some links.

NHL.Com's Entry Draft Page: http://www.nhl.com/ice/eventhome.htm?location=/features/draft

Scouting Rankings: http://www.nhl.com/ice/draftprospectbrowse.htm

I suppose now is the time to start reading.
OMFG

Gustavsson has narrowed his four teams down to Colorado, Toronto, San Jose, and Dallas.

linkage

I'll try to find a better link.

yeah i heard, if gustavsson was smart he will be willing to sit for a yr and learn on a good team like the sharks or stars. he will have the chance to start next yr for us if he proves in his 20-25 starts he can get the job done when nabby leaves the following yr. but in reality he will take the money in which he can make more by getting the chance to start and play right away and playing really well on a horrible team like the avalanche.

i dont see him playing well on a joke of a team in the avs anyways but he will learn from roy which can also be a major advantage in going to colorado. hes gonna be visiting cities soon hope he falls in love with the city of sj and the nice weather all yr round.
Noah in Arichat, NS: In your opinion, do you believe there will be more movement of 'star' players, in terms of trades, at the draft than at this past trade deadline?

Darren Dreger: Noah, good question. I do believe draft day is going to see some big name deals. Brian Burke has vowed to be active and more and more I’m hearing teams are showing interest in some of the San Jose Sharks top players. If Doug Wilson wants to change the culture of his team, he might have to consider some of the interest being shown in Marleau, Nabokov, Ehrhoff, Cheechoo and Clowe. The chatter around the NHL is definitely heating up.

From TSN

We need to trade cheech for sure..so we can re-sign clowe.

With Roy turning down the coaching job, do you think that makes a difference now?

I'd rather get rid of Erhoff. I just know if Cheech goes, I can see him having a heck of a year somewhere else..

i'd rather keep ehrhoff, dude may make you say wtf but then he'll show signs of a top dman. cheechoo wont do anything unless he has someone setting him up like when he had joe in his rocket richard winning yr. he'll fit perfectly in pitt along side crosby. if we traded ehrhoff whos a solid dman and led in ice time for us in the playoffs who do we have replacing him? cheechoo is replaceable on this team and is being wasted on the 3rd line and getting payed too much for a 3rd liner

rumor is he is good friends with Brunnstrom. But I dont think he will pick Dallas unless he wants to wait 3/4 years and probably not have too big of a contract since our Owner has stated he wants to stay well below the cap after the Avery deal blow up on us. Same kind of problem with SJ, unless he is okay with waiting behind Nabokov.

My guess is Toronto since Coloroda just took the axe to their management.

I beleive Nabby has one year left on his contract, and based on his play last season (and post season) there will be a competition if we sign the swede.

Wouldnt be surprised if we do sign gustavsson and trade nabby before the deadline. (Of course, gustavsson would have to take the starting job by then)

"Wilson also didn’t dismiss the idea, as mentioned in a Tampa Bay blog, that the Sharks could be putting a package together for one of the top two picks in the 2009 draft. “We’ve explored everything,” he said. “There isn’t a conversation we haven’t had.”"

Pollack Blog .

Man, could you imagine if we got Jonas and a top 2 pick

""Several teams are inquiring about the Sharks' Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau, according to Toronto Sun sources. But Sharks GM Doug Wilson said he doesn't want to move either player -- but he's looking to wheel and deal this offseason. ""

thats from espn insider, but pollack addresses it in his blog
