Still, truth is the truth.
Its not even the same team. There are a lot of spots still TBD.
Williams and Mack gets us back to basics. AZ just got better.
We're going to need more than what we have at EDGE. Project. Bosa to be 80% of what he was. Ebukham or whatever isn't enough as I read what Ram fans are saying (just as I see our Spoon analysis on his way to the Hawks).
Ward is still injury-prone and so is Verrett.
Moseley is our most durable/reliable player who will see AJ Green and Hopkins x2 a year. No question Edge is a priority.
The WR room still has River Craft in it. Deebo has never played a full season. Aiyuk is coming on strong but Bournes reliability will be missed. Still need a burner to give Kittle some room.
Mack is prob a 2-year deal so save a mid round pick for C or G.
IMHO, keeping Verrett and Juice was tablestakes as neither had a huge market outside of the Niners. No one was going to pay Juice what we were going to.
We're in decent hands, I just don't think we should be done in FA and we've done well at maintenance, possibly getting us a little closer to what we had in 2019, but I'd say don't fall into the psychology of cap scarcity. I don't even read when Lynch says "if we can afford it." Lol. Never forget we were told the team couldn't afford Buck and Armstead yet we're afford Armstead and Trent who's way way way way more expensive than Buck.

An elite LT even if he's getting older is way way way more valuable than an elite DT.
It's not about value, it's about message. Just come right out and say "we didn't want to pay Buck so we had to OVERPAY Armstead."

And an elite DT is way, way, way more valuable than average, mediocre players like Arik Armstead, Jimmie Ward, etc.
Football team-building is simple: Pay your elite players; let your fringe players walk. They f**ked up with Defo--period. Our DL would look so much better right now with Defo and Bosa as the centerpieces. Instead, it's Bosa and a bunch of questions.

He's never played at a Pro Bowl level unless it's against the Rams. Jimmie does his job--nothing more, nothing less.
Defo has been at that level since day 1. Again, they f**ked up. Let's just hope they learned from it.

I disagree with DeFo, he wasn't great since day 1, he had his ups and downs, plus he's too slim, he was getting pushed around, Kinlaw is a much bigger 3T, I truly have faith he'll end up being as good as DeFo. I have no issue with the trade, cause without, we don't get that 4th from TB to get Aiyuk in a trade up. Like I said, it wasn't Defo or AA, it was AA, Ward, & Kittle or DeFo, we couldn't afford Kittle & DeFo. It sucks, I wish we could have kept him, but I'm good with it a yr later.
