... and this is how all the young dudes become a DIVA, too much stardom gets placed in their head too soon... why not let them earn how gets to go to the NFL Rookie Premiere AFTER their first year..
Hard to attend a ROOKIE premiere when no longer a rookie….don't you think?
They are still rookies after the season, that's when the recognition should be made.. not prior..
how many of you guys put money on Lance to win the MVP in his first year ?
Was he not up there in Vegas' odds to win the MVP?
Wtf are you talking about lmao
Where you not around aqui when Vegas had the odds for Lance to win the MVP in his first year under Shanny?
Are you lost?
He's lost and doesn't understand the word premiere. It's a verb and the definition is : to have a first public appearance. Or : to appear for the first time as a star performer. Straight out of Webster dictionary.

It's not 1985. Things change.

JR didn't have twitter either. Things change.
The funny thing is in almost every group picture/video during the event Stribling looks like he's thinking "can we get this crap over with so I can go ball"
Also this may be a shocker to you but whether at the rookie symposium or not, these guys pose for pics like that all the time whether for trading cards, promotional photos, etc.
Anyone who thinks taking pictures like that means they've arrived obviously isn't cut out for greatness anyways.

these guys dont get big heads in the NFL. It starts in high school when all they have to do it show up on the football field. Some don't even put in any effort in the classroom. Now they can make a couple million in college and then transfer to another college offering more money. And every gold digging broad is throwing themselves at them.
I don't think the rookie premier plays any part in them getting a big head. Maybe 0.01%

And by the end of the season the trading card market falls off and the hype for a lot of rookies has faded. That's one of the biggest reason for this event, to get to see the rookies in uniform to get cards made.

There are going to be some rookies who are mature enough to learn what they need to do to succeed in the NFL. Some are going to do the opposite. And some will change in the coming months and years. And, EVERYONE will know.

Based on what? This guy is bigger, faster, has better hands, and played against better competition. Barring injury, I'd be willing to bet money he has more than 4 catches for 80 yards and no touchdowns this upcoming year.

Honestly what the heck are you talking about? He hasn't even really practiced yet and there is almost no reason to compare him to Cowing.
Are you just trying to get a rise out of people with comments like this?
Cowing is 5'8 3/8'' 168 lbs
Stribling is 6'2 1/8'' 207 lbs
Outside of running similar 40 times - Stribling actually ran .02 seconds faster time. Where is your comparison coming from?

No other reason to make such a dumb comparison, other than for rage bait. I've been saying it for over a decade that this forum should have no limit on how many users you can block because you're forced to see crap like this when your block list is full. This used to be my main place to engage with fellow faithful, but all the trolls here forced me to head over to the Reddit sub because you can completely avoid these types of "fans" with ease.
At least Grant gets paid to be miserable. These clowns just do it for the love of the game in here.

As someone one who's largely a lurker I agree. There are some poster's insight I consistently enjoy reading but the trolls muddy up the tone constantly. What's frustrating, what is the point of blocking someone if I end up seeing their posts anyways when someone else quotes them?

It went over your head. Every year the writers talk about how amazing young player A looks and yada yada yada and then the real games happen and the player goes MIA. I put zero faith in anything the practice reports put out there during TC and OTA.

It didn't go over anyone's head. You failed to elaborate, so if that's what you meant, you should have said it from the beginning. Otherwise, you come across as a troll. The fact that you think your comment is above anyone's head says more about your lack of intelligence than anyone else's.

Here are the WRs 49ers picked in the 1st or 2nd round. Pettis was obviously a bust and Pearsall has some injury red flags, but otherwise their track record has been good. I kinda see Stribling like a John Taylor-type receiver without the punt return capability.
#25 Brandon Aiyuk
#31 Ricky Pearsall
#33 De'Zhaun Stribling
#36 Deebo Samuel
#44 Dante Pettis
