Honestly what the heck are you talking about? He hasn't even really practiced yet and there is almost no reason to compare him to Cowing.

Are you just trying to get a rise out of people with comments like this?

Cowing is 5'8 3/8'' 168 lbs
Stribling is 6'2 1/8'' 207 lbs

Outside of running similar 40 times - Stribling actually ran .02 seconds faster time. Where is your comparison coming from?

It went over your head. Every year the writers talk about how amazing young player A looks and yada yada yada and then the real games happen and the player goes MIA. I put zero faith in anything the practice reports put out there during TC and OTA.

It didn't go over anyone's head. You failed to elaborate, so if that's what you meant, you should have said it from the beginning. Otherwise, you come across as a troll. The fact that you think your comment is above anyone's head says more about your lack of intelligence than anyone else's.

#25 Brandon Aiyuk
#31 Ricky Pearsall
#33 De'Zhaun Stribling
#36 Deebo Samuel
#44 Dante Pettis

I just hope he's Jerry 2.0

Seriously though, that's one difference I see between Walsh and Kyle. That ability to draft a hall of fame level WR. Walsh drafted his Hall of Fame receiver in 1985 - about seven years after he started as a head coach. Kyle *should* have drafted a guy like Jerry by now (10 years after Kyle started coaching) if he was sorta equivalent to a Walsh (from an offensive standpoint). If Kyle had Jerry 2.0 instead of Emmanuel Sanders - Jimmy throwing that alley opp in the fourth quarter might have been a touch down!

Owwie owwie owwie!

but yes, great point about sanders

really having no idea about the guy and seeing his tape after the pick, I think he's the most impressive pick at wr and where they sat at the time. He looks like a T.O. type wr, but I understand that ppl are like way smarter than lynch and Kyle , so I understand why the pick has been muckraked. He doesn't seem like Rashaun woods or Jenkins up in this b***h

WOODS was all world in college... in fact his first catch for the 49ers was a TD... but I never thought he was a 1st rounder..

It went over my head because you made a dumb post and got the reaction you were craving from people.

The reality is the few snaps Jacob Cowing had in real games were mostly impactful considering he averaged 20 YPR when he saw the ball come his way. Stribling hasn't even gotten a chance to play in real games yet.

It's easy enough to make a point that you don't care about OTA results and care about how guys play in games that matter. Literally the last part of your post above would've done a better job of that.

It's fair to only talk up players once they produce in real games but call me crazy....maybe save the b***hing until they have a chance to show or not show something first? Or simply don't post until they do?

Expecting Jerry 2.0 is obviously unrealistic on many fronts. NOBODY has drafted Jerry 2.0 since Jerry 1.0.

As for drafting his top WR, that was Aiyuk. If only he had Jerry's mentality and didn't flake on us he would've been special. Hopefully Stribling is at least good enough to be a top flight WR1 for us for many years.
Strib well end up as WR3 by second half of season.... watch and see

I bet you Reed will be WR3 by mid season- river

I read that as more complimentary. He will rise to #3 over the other vets (like Christian Kirk for example).
