Stribling like any other rookie has to master the scheme first to get playing time. Let's worry about that first.

Pearsall btw has only had one small hamstring injury and came back for training camp, season.

Best thing for our offense would be to have Evans, Pearsall and Stribling out there at WR.

Kid got shot and tried playing through a PCL injury which is far from a nothing burger. If folks are gonna complain about something let's at least use facts

Some podcasters are comparing Stribling to Terell Owens! That was a new one for me. If Stribling ever gets to that hall of fame level of performance, there's going to a wide open superbowl window for that combo (just like the Joe, Steve, Jerry combo) that kept the superbowl window open for a decade at least in the past - if that comes true.

For real. The Ricky hate annoys the f**k out of me. Criticize his durability? Fine, if you want to ignore context or circumstances, that's on you. But there are people that legit think he isn't really good. That just tells me these people aren't very bright.

I hope he balls out so tough this year and makes the naysayers shut the f**k up.

Best game so far from Pearsall that had me sold was when the 9ers played the Bears. Pearsall was giving Nashon Wright all he could handle in that game. And if he could do that to Wright he could hold his own vs any CB in the NFL. Pearsall will be the #2 WR by the time the season starts.

I just bumped the GC thread over in NFL talk, lets keep the conversations where they belong.

Cohn is a dipshit who's whole shitick is about rage bait and being unserious. For whatever reason a bunch of online morons jumped on the bandwagon because it's an easy way to make a buck.

Grant is a nepo baby of "sport writing" lol

the thing with him is it doesn't matter if he's wrong, he just pushes the next rage bait scenario. There's never any accountability.

Social media has ruined so many good things. I feel for Stribling and Black. Haven't even played a down and the sports grifters have already pounced all over them….Wish people online didn't get paid based off engagements. We'd have more honest and objective dialogue that's for sure.

I hear you, its the; butts in the seats = advertisement revenue game, so engagement is key.

I read these sports articles the way I read political content, you have to consider the source.

To be fair if you're talking about the TO comparison I saw it was about how he runs(arms swing just like TO) and given his size I see the similarity as well.

It wasn't a Stribling is TO in the making type stuff.

Like I said before, it's all right there for Stribling. You can't ask for many better opportunities not only with the scheme, QB who throws a very catchable ball, vet WR who you can learn a lot from and even a path to lots of snaps if you play your cards right.

Let's see what the kid can do. I'm just not setting too high of expectations because we know the system isn't easy to master quickly.

The people who act like he sucks are just lazy with their takes or just casuals.

We saw him pretty much act as our WR1 until his injury. Kittle out early in week 1. Jennings gimpy first few weeks and even missed a game or two in that stretch.

Ricky was huge in the Seattle game - no Kittle, no JJ and big plays late in that game to help us win.

Clutch catches too. I believe he was up there in catches for first down before his injury and was either 3rd or 4th in receiving yards as the main threat in the offense.

Injury was a fluke too. Not much different than when Reggie Bush tore his knee up outside the field. Just needs to stay healthy. He can play in this league 100%.

Yes, sir! I think Ricky is really good. He's just had health issues but two major ones. He played through the PCL and did well. He just couldn't keep playing through it. A healthy Ricky is a stud.

healthy Evans, Ricky, Stribling, Kirk… that's a nice line up. If they stay healthy - we can finally beat man coverage, IMO.

Cohn is suuuuuch a douchebag. I'm not sure what posting his meaningless b******t says about you.

It means I don't get my panties all in a bunch over ridiculous takes and can laugh if off. Some should take a CHANCE and learn from this.

I don't follow little bitches like Grant Cohn. But you do you.

lol who said I followed him, his post pops up and I laugh it off, but you stay mad as you do.
Spamming is against the rules here too

you don't need to post crap is his point

He is a 49ers writer, I post everyone's post about the 49ers. Just because it hurts you're feelings or don't agree with it doesn't mean its against the rules or is "Spamming". If I only posted his stuff you would have a point, unfortunately you don't.

Do I like seeing his posts here giving him more $...no but it's not against the rules. I do find him humorous just wish he kept his personal bias out of his evaluations because his camp coverage is one of my favorites and he does ask questions other media members are scared to ask. It may be the ahole in him but it does produce good content for us to talk about.

We all should understand his goals and take them for what they are. 49ers by all accounts reached for Stribling. To Grant it means it's in his best interest to dog the pick and take any opportunity to display it negatively or in snarky fashion. Same for Black, which is why he was the only media guy to only bring up the "dropped" pass by Black on a poorly thrown ball while most others have talked about him looking really good running routes and catching passes outside of that play.

Let him talk his smack and hope that he looks just as brilliant as when he was trying to talk the 49ers out of making the giant mistake of drafting Nick Bosa...

Thank you. I read this after posting my post above, so sorry for adding extra post.

Now back to the topic at hand, I think Stribling is going to be one of our best players from this draft.
