No but its a bit fresh, if thats the # he wanted then of course he should have it. I think an 80s number would have look good on him.

87 or 88 would have looked nice. Seems like in recent history, a lot of WRs are opting for 1-19 instead of the 80s.

That started when college QBs began converting to WR. Hines Ward and Gene Washington come to mind.

I hope Stribling and Evans both stay healthy in camp so Stribling can watch and learn.

49ers signed second-round WR De'Zhaun Stribling to a four-year contract.

Stribling gets a $13.5 million deal with a $6.3 million signing bonus, which comes with a $2.5 million salary cap hit in 2026. The 49ers brought him board with the No. 33 overall pick, which generated mixed responses. Stribling will compete for a starting role in three-wide receiver sets right away, but likely begins training camp as the penciled-in No. 4 wide receiver behind Mike Evans, Ricky Pearsall and Christian Kirk.

this is HUGE

I was worried about a repeat of last year trying to get 100% guaranteed contract for 2nd rounders would begin with us at Round 2 pick 1

I like this, no bs about contract languages, he'll be ready to go day 1 camp.
In the videos he looks stiff as hell

Also a few years ago, the league expanded the number set they are eligible to use in the NFL.

NFL wide receivers can wear jersey numbers 0–49 and 80–89. Following rule changes in 2021 and 2023, receivers are no longer restricted to the 10–19 or 80–89 ranges, allowing them to wear single digits, 20s, 30s, and 40s

Last year, the top two picks in the second round were given fully guaranteed contracts (which that was the first time second rounders were given that with the rookie scale).

the one that actually finally signed last year was Alfred Collins. I feel like that says about his character and how much he wanted to start playing.

lol
FYI that's not the correct terms as it seems the rookie scale was less than what OTC had, he got just over a $6.188m signing bonus

Nah not really…he's almost 6-3 210lbs. He looks like Chris Godwin jr imo. He's not a twitched Ricky P like WR (like I've been saying) that's not how he's gonna win (as an uber elite separator).

just some guys running around in gym shorts playing tag.... means nothing right now, and we know nothing more at this point than we did when they were drafted

Cohn is smart enough to know that he can't add value as a football content writer because he knows nothing about it, and his personality is not endearing so he is unable to forge media relations with players and coaches to receive "scoops"... so he created a niche for himself in this media space by being the controversial cynical contrary villain, he knows a certain percentage of the population will always read FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) and he can always get clicks by generating this type of content... this is his business model and how he has decided to make his living with the job daddy gave him... best thing to do is just don't click on his drivel, I never read his stuff and if I see he is the writer I just scroll past.
