100%. Love him but they really like Rourke and there are always options to look at to rebuild in FA.
Don't force a trade but if you can get a 2nd or 3rd you have to with all our needs

No one were going to select with a 2nd or 3rd is going to have as much value as Mac Jones.

But we have positions of glaring need where players with less absolute value than Jones will likely have more relative value compared to whoever they replace.

That's not the point, his value is only realised if Brock misses time. Plus the fact the guys has shown he's in the top 32 at the position, he will want a gig. Move to the next one, QB's will sign with Kyle for the chance to resurrect their careers. Zach Wilson makes loads of sense to be the next one.

Every team can say this. Shanahan can bring in the next castoff as a QB2 to compete.

Forget competing for QB2...but can that QB play as a QB1 (like Mac did) when that time calls for it?

Again the only reason we made it to the playoffs is because Mac Jones won us those games.

Kyle has had MAAAAAANY QBs play for him on the 9ers through out his career here. Only a few were successful starters.
Not keeping Mac Jones next year would be a huge mistake.

Wilson doesn't have the tools.

Totally agree. ALL of the QBs have put up numbers, but only three actually won. I say we keep Mac unless he asks for a trade and someone offers better than a 3rd.

We need as many draft picks as possible. Make a deal
Trade him to Pitts for picks. We need picks badly. We need so many pieces. We are old or slow and weak or all of the above at every level of defense and oline. CMC is now slow and and old with only a year left on his contract. He should be just a WR who plays some RB every now and then. It is a shame how we abused him this year. He might be a shell of himself next year and I doubt he is a starter a year after that. He looks cooked running

If he didn't have the tools he wouldn't have gone #2 overall. It's more that he chooses to try to be Josh Allen/Patrick Mahomes, where he should be trying to be Drew Brees/Brock Purdy. Kyle can fix that, and if he can't who cares? Back Rourke in that situation.
He deserves a chance to start and they have way too many needs to turn down draft capital. I'm sure there will be be castoff QBs who will want to play with Kyle after Darnold and Mac both came here as backups and got another chance
He should be part of the package for Justin Jefferson
