The Rams in particular don't even play some of their starters in the preseason games and especially late preseason games. Their strategy is to make them last during the year. Not bang them up in the preseason. Something we should adopt. Shany practice style may also be a little too rough at various times in the year. Got to make changes. Being healthy for the games is the most important. Not banging up players in preseason and practice. The goal is to be healthy through the year.
All that said I maybe would bring in some independent experts. Work with the city or county. Test at the 49ers facility and the substation itself. See what you come up with for EMF emissions. Is it really much higher than normal daily life? Does this or can this have an effect? Ask the experts to study it and come up with a report. I don't think it's that. But I would commission a study. Even if they have to pay for it. At least set your mind at ease and all the players and front office too.
Greenlaw just said the 49ers don't practice hard (tackling) so that kind of blows this out of the water.

The Niners barely play any starters in pre season. Some barely even practice. I've been at trining camp and it' mostly just light workouts and a lot of standing around and talking to coaches. There are some inter squad games but even those aren't like a real game. The problem is knee injuries and muscle pulls can happen just by running. No contact required. One wrong step and pop. You're out for 3 weeks or more.

If it's coming from one of the foundational pillars on the team the last few years, at this point you can't just dismiss it as some BS conspiracy theory IMO.
If you look at the science of the EMF emissions it makes sense. The substation sends harmonic frequencies at a higher voltage which would stimulate tissue. It's kind of like a giant tens unit for message. I don't know if it is the cause because it would need to be studied in more depth than just a theory. However the science of the substation causing the injuries is plausible.
TENS units stimulate nerves, though. It's in the name.
Yes correct the TENS unit does stimulate the nerves but the nerves stimulate the tendons and muscles. Again they need to study this before it's ruled as a cause of not. Way too vague of a theory.

Team should've never moved to SC in the first place. But whatever, just move practice and see what happens. I don't necessarily believe in the substation theory, but after a decade of injuries piling up every years Im willing to try anything. "Its just bad luck" isn't a good enough answer.

Why don't they just go practice at Stanford? What about San Jose St.? For now at least.

I'm not sure how or if they'll ever be able to have a definitive answer on this issue. The Niners don't lead the league every year in injuries but even when they do the teams behind them still have a lot. It's not like the Niners have 50% more or 20% more than the other teams. Sometimes it's not the number of injuries but the severity. When starters like Bosa, Williams and Warner miss nearly an entire season it skews the overall number of games missed.
Do all teams have a power station near their practice facility? No. I still say it's bad luck. The numbers aren't that different between teams. Part of it can be because some teams have more older players. Maybe they have more guys that had an injury history. It's a hazardous job that often results in shorts careers.

I do not have granular data, but apparently the injuries have been higher since 2014 and I read the power station went from small to much larger that same time frame. I feel like since they moved to Levi's the injuries have been higher.
The team has a reputation for injuries and that power station is voodoo territory now. Jed needs to build a sarcophagus over that power station like they did for Chernobyl.

Here's a reason……because it would be unfair that the niners would have at least 9-10 SB's (a few more for Montana, one for Young, Purdy and even Jimmy G)

Jed should just lobby/pay to move the sub station away any 49ers area and be done with all the speculation for good. He's a billionaire, how hard can it be to get this done? I don't trust that sub station

Let's not loose sight of the fact the average joe on the street would notice a full body TENS unit with-in seconds of entering the area…. Plus you would think if even a minor effect was taking place you would see traceable effects from work out numbers. This could not happen in a vacuum… these dudes track everything

Change the way the team warms up. change up the stretching. Add more stretching and warm up time.

We have been cursed since we left Candlestick. Eddie D is the only one that can break that curse. This is our only hope… 🥲

The electrical substation is nothing but a poor excuse for the injuries.

The key guys that got hurt are older and on their second contracts. We have an old team that has logged an impossible number of miles over various long postseasons
