HE ALREADY SHOULD BE 2 !!

OR even 1B !!

With Pearsall back i would love to see some 1-3 personnel. Maybe even 2-3 personnel with Robinson and CMC.
I mean logically if we are going to out our best players on the field the base set should be kittle, tonges, pearsall, CMC and then for your second wr you rotate jennings with robinson, bourne etc...

Then ferrell only swaps with tonges and kittle when they are tired...

It's pretty obvious we could be dominant running the Gronk and Hernandez combo but for some reason coaching staff can't figure out tonges has some serious skill.

How many toe touching catches and on the run ankle catches does he need to make?
He made some really tough good catches
He's playing really well. Good solid backup. Excellent routes and reliable hands.

This dudes not a backup. 99% of tight ends aren't making that shoe string catch he made on the run this game or the toe tap last game.

This guy's got obvious skill. This really should be a 1A 1B situation with kittle.

Ferrell should not even be seeing the field except to give those two a rest.

Coaches need to find a way to get both of them on the field at once.

I do hope that Kyle can build more two and even three TE sets. Id like Charlie Woener level blocking (trying to be realistic) with some decent pass catching.

With Tonges, he has to be considered more, in spite of the obvious weakness. I know Kyle doesn't like to tip his hand in terms of run or pass but the fact is when without Kittle, he has produced. So if he can produce without him he should be given opportunities to produce with him.
Dude has better hands than our receivers.
Great to see Tonges step up - he could be the guy opponents sleep on in the play offs.

Agreed.
I hope they can get him signed on a multi year deal.

This guy is so good. What a great signing by the FO.
He's a restricted free agent so we should be able to keep him.
Needs to keep developing his run blocking, but he was the key block in Purdy's first TD run. Pushed his man back 4-5 yards and then held him there allowing Purdy to slip by.

He's definitely a willing blocker, maybe another off season of scheme familiarity would help.
