hmm I guess he misses all the criteria that are snap-based and stuff, and I guess 1 year for 16m its actually not that much provided he can actually contribute.
the problem imo lies in that they probably wont know at what stage his progress with the knee is when its time to pick up the option. spending 16m on someone who wont play will be a disaster.
