But he seems to always be injured. If it's not the shoulder it's the hamstring. Just seems fragile and always hurt. I think he's the type of guy who will always be hurt and missing some time. I can't see him making many full seasons of every game. I think McConkey was the pick at WR if you wanted one. He already is a star. I didn't want a WR anyway that year for the 1st round pick. But if you did I'm not sure how he's better than McConkey.

I separate how I feel about the raw evaluation and the person on this one. Obviously I hope for the best. I think there are some concerns there though.

Tell me how many games he missed in college or last yr that went due to getting shot….

Folks going off over tight hammies in May? Relax.

Ladd was the guy I was pounding the table for if we were going WR end of the first, that said he missed time in college with back and ankle injuries.

It's not the offseason without 49ers fans calling players injury prone for small injuries in camp.

Remember when Bosa was called injury prone as a rookie cuz he got rolled up on and missed all of preseason?

Then all he ended up doing was making the PB, winning DROTY and playing every game his rookie season including 3 dominant games in the playoffs and arguably being the best player in the SB?

Sure you want guys healthy and getting all the reps they can get in during the camps but the time that really matters are the games. If he's not missing any games then the injury prone label is stupid. So far he hasn't missed any games due to injury unless getting shot is being injury prone to some here.

It's just a weird thing to get worked up about or make some massive conclusion on a player.

Hamstring injuries are just a product of being a professional athlete. Sometimes it's because you overwork it and don't take the proper time to recover, other times it's because you didn't work enough and then tried to go full out. These guys need to find that sweet spot for their bodies when it comes to working out and recovery.

the whole he's small and needs to get bigger because he has a hamstring injury is also a ridiculous take. Andre Johnson and Julio jones constantly dealt with hamstring issues throughout their careers. I mean how often did Deebo have hammy issues?

Better for him to have this now and be good for actual training camp, then having it later.

I don't believe a player getting injured multiple times makes them "injury prone" unless it's chronic, in which case it's just one injury being managed not multiple injuries.

Steph Curry was injury prone ... it seemed to work out for the Warriors.

It's really common for WRs and DBs and RBs to have hamstring issues in early camps because they don't know enough how to manage their own bodies and they are trying to impress too early.

With Pearsall getting a 2nd hamstring strain I would hope the training staff fixes what he's been doing wrong.

Some fans just like to use the injury prone label any chance they can. Bosa has missed more games because of injury. Is he injury prone?
Durability with this guy in the NFL was always going to be an issue.

This. wish they'd taken McConkey or Leggette.

Right!!! He needs to be able to handle NFL injuries like a gun shot.

Also, isn't it a very minor hamstring issue? I could have sworn that I saw lynch say that if it was the season, he would play, but they want him 100% for camp.

Im not worried about this. I think people just have PTSD from how CMCs injury was rolled out last year. lol
- CMC has a minor injury and needs a few weeks off.
- CMC MIGHT miss the season opener
- CMC is going on IR
- CMC is out half the season
- CMC is back
- CMC is reinjured
- CMC has missed 95% of the season.

lmao that's my guess but I don't think the hammy issue is a big deal. He's been vlogging all off season about his workouts, my guess is he's over worked it.

I think Watkins is going to introduce himself into the lineup with Ricky & the guy we drafted last year. It'll be interesting.

Great. Maybe a little early to say whether it was a mistake or not?

I saw someone claim that the should've drafted Cooper DeJean cuz Pearsall can't stay healthy…meanwhile guess who missed actual games last year cuz he was coming back from a hamstring injury in training camp?

Now I can say wanting DeJean cuz he was a beast last year and helped the Eagles win the SB…I admit I was a lot more excited about our pick when I heard someone tip off that it was going to be DeJean but Pearsall looked great towards the end of the year and should keep getting better.

You'd think people on here would learn not to overreact but it's almost a yearly occurrence.
This isn't great news, hope fully hes ready for TC.

From what we've been told - it's not a problem at all. They're just being cautious so he's 100% healthy when they really need him.

- lynch already said that if this was during the season, he would play the following week
- Kyle said that he would be ready by the end of OTAs, the final couple days, but they aren't going to try and just wait until training camp.

At this point, nothing to worry about at all. If he is missing training camp, then we can start to worry

Thats good to hear then. I've been busy the past few days so I haven't read or kept up with all the OTA stories and news, much appreciated.

Sports reporting (particularly off-season) is mostly lies and over-reaction. It would almost be more surprising if there was less of it here.
In 2 off-seasons he has been injured 3 times (subluxated shoulder, hamstring, hamstring) and now we're not even in minicamp yet!!!!

Now let's see if he can make it through TC whitout a 4th injury but we would have to be really stupid to think that this isn't worrisome.....but considering that last year some fans here were saying before week 1 that CMC was gonna be fine I'm not surprised to see guys that get offended when someone says that Pearsall might never be on the field enough to justify his 1st round status.
