Perspective.

Reiterating this for those melting down.

Schefter is saying it was a complete tear of the UCL. Going to need tommy john surgery...hopefully it's not career ending but we haven't seen someone come back from this a better player.

Back to Lance. Here we go

For a year its doable. 49ers have the run game and the short to intermediate targets that Tampa was lacking, maybe even more if Gronkowski came with Brady as a package deal. Just a matter if both Brady and Shanahan would be willing to swallow some of their pride and work together.

I think we have to reach out to Brady now. Not at 30 mill, though.
The fact that it's a full tear -- not a partial -- but a full tear -- it's time to look at the worst case scenario. That's Tommy John surgery and at least a full year of recovery. He hasn't had the surgery yet, which means it won't take place until February at best. If you count a full year off, Brock misses next season completely.

That means that Trey Lance is starting again, most likely. OR, the team resigns Garoppolo, providing Jimmy wants to sign here again. He can get a better deal somewhere else, but players like winning teams and the 49ers are built to win NOW.

I don't know what the next move is. I really don't. But I don't see this turning out well for next season.
At this rate we might not even have a healthy QB come OTAs.
Out 6 months

THIS. I mean wtf

Its impossible to determine whether there's a sprain or a full tear without doing an MRI. If its a full tear, you're not really doing anymore damage anyways.

Appreciate this post. NBA fans may remember Klay hitting a free throw on a torn ACL I believe. Respect the toughness.
Torn UCL is what ended Nick Mullens tenure as a 49er...
This can be career threatening, right?

what percent feel Brock is locked as QB1

Like 20 percent. Six months is really a best case scenario. It could be longer.
