Hope it's just a repair and that it goes well.

Still, out six months means Lance is the starter, more than likely.

No. You go sign TB12. Lance can go play on Houston. This team is so stacked it cannot have another season with a question mark at QB. Idunno, I'm not the GM tho lol

Brady and Fangio, make it happen

Mike McDaniel already stole Fangio before we could get him. Smart.

Fangio is saying he hasn't decided yet.

This can be career threatening, right?

Look at the list of QB's that had Tommy John and how their careers went....

I don't know any, do you have examples? The most recent would be the most relevant.

The last I can think of was Jake Delhomme and that was like 16 years ago or so.

Doesn't Fangio run a 3/4 anyway?

Good to know for future reference.
His already limited physical skill set will probably be diminished even further if he requires surgery.

Schefter is saying it was a complete tear of the UCL. Going to need surgery...hopefully it's not career ending but we haven't seen someone come back from this better.
The major loss is going to be an offseason where he could have spent progressing as a passer and further developing.

Good point here. If you try and add up all the development lost with injury it is mindblowing. Go back to JG losing his first year as starter. Then TL losing his first year as starter. Now BP losing an offseason. It's every QB we try to build around. Every bit of work / repetition matters.

Oh really? That report of his 3 year deal wasn't solidified?

Everyday is the best day to stop drinking. Good luck bother.

Is it possible that it could have been a partial tear & could have torn it more by coming back out? Obviously not a dr lol

No, all he did was throw 1 short screen pass. He was trying harder on the sidelines to work through it.

He may miss all or a lot of next season if he needs the full reconstruction.

Some of that has changed,

There is now surgery that uses the existing ligament and players are throwing again after 2-3 months.

It might be a faster recovery that traditional Tommy Johns.

I worked with a guy that had Tommy Johns surgery in the early 2000s. He was told roughly a year...it took him 2 years. That would be 3 NFL seasons. So lets hope the new surgery is what we are looking at and Purdy has no complications.

I swear, Brady can be 80 years old and people will still say go get Brady.

Yah man. He allegedly wanted to come here before and was doubted he could perform. Tampa Bay took a chance and got a ring. Hindsight is always 20/20

49ers haven't won a superbowl since I was 17. Been too long man. I'm ready to take a chance.

We have to get Brady. Who knows how Purdy will heal and if his arm will be the same. If I'm Kyle and John, you can't risk Purdy not being ready for the 2023 season, not with this SB roster. We seen how important the #1 seed is. Let's get Brady and come out the gate firing on all cylinders. Remember Brady won't have to throw it 50 times a game. This might the easiest SB he's ever won. Brady rides off into the sunset and Purdy takes over in 2024.

Brady for 30mil? f**k no
