Who was the best QB the 49ers had in the last decade

Team Jimmy trying to make a point I suspect. Why else would we need a third Jimmy G thread vaguely disguised as something else?
The above videos are auto-populated by an affiliate.
Kap competed against the LOB and a loaded Seahawks team with M. Lynch running the ball and almost won the game by himself.

Jimmy G. would of folded up like a chair against the 2013 LOB. Cmon. it is not even close.
Kaep for his 2-3 years... easy.
Kap. Jimmy just hasn't stayed healthy enough. If Jimmy played all 3.5 years I think he'd be the clear winner but that's just not the case.

And if Kaep could throw with touch or read a defense, he would be a Hall of Famer.. s**t happens.
This shouldn't be a question. Kap by far and its not even close. Go watch the Chicago game, the Pats game, any GB game and second half of SB. He even performed well against a historically good Seattle defense. That same defense that made Manning look like Jimmy with a broken leg.

We won in the playoffs despite our defense, not because of it, as star studded as it was.

Jimmy has played one full season. Colin had one season that was better. Alex was the most efficient of them all.

Each had their strengths.

Overall, I'm saying Alex. He never flamed out and continued to win on every team he played for after us.

So true, bro. Its insulting.

That Seahawks team was basically Steve Youngs Cowboys. They where absolutely dominate and yet he still almost pulled it off, with guys like Michael "mediocre" Crabtree as his primary Wr.

Alex Smith, really?? If there was any QB who needed an All-Pro team around him it was him. If people say Jimmy didn't do anything and it was all run game and defense, then what the heck did Smith do in 2011?? 17 passing TD's for real??

15 TDs in 2016. On pace for 16 TDs in 2018. People love "his" winning, but the truth is he held some really good teams back from winning a SB.

Enter the Mahomes era!!!

That's exactly what I want to see the 49ers do, draft a QB in the top 10 and let him sit behind Garoppolo or whatever veteran they have.

The question wasn't who had the best career. So what Smith did in the years after the 49ers isn't relevant to the 49ers

Why does the Quarterback need to sit? Joe Burrows with an awful o line, awful defense, looks amazing most of the time. Herbert looks extremely good. Tua looked much better in his second start.

Russell Wilson, Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Murray, Josh Allen, and plenty of others started as rookies. Mahomes played fairly well in his one game as a rookie. If you are ready to start sitting on the bench is a waste of time.
Best 49er QB of the last decade? Easy Steve Young! I think even at his age, he could outplay anyone of this list.

When did Colin have a better season than Jimmy?

And A.Smith outside of 2011 was an awful 49er QB.
