Jimmy G base on last year stats. He had more yardage and TD last season, best since Garcia.

Kap a had year and a half run where he looked real good. Then he sucked.
So going by best year Kap. Overall, Smith.
Both arent saying much.

Kap & Jimmy are both very flawed & very different QB's who played on stacked rosters. They're sorta odd to compare.
No team has ever "feared" Jimmy like peak Kaepernick though. Jimmy was a hidden game manager in Shanahan's scheme where as Kaepernick was a bigger playmaker. Kaepernick also had the faster regression but Jimmy constantly gets injured. Couldn't care less which one people think is better though, they both failed to get it done.

Kap for sure , he was a highlight reel, that greenbay game still gives me goosebumps , bad luck on losing to the ravens , the better team lost that day

Kaepernick got them to two straight NFC championships. He dominated Green Bay running in freezing weather then dominated them next season passing. None on the list could do that. Then the team and he fell apart.
Jimmy G and Alex Smith are about even for me. Smith was a better runner. Jimmy G does tend to win in spite of his shortcomings.
Losing the Super Bowl as the starting 49er Quarterback is bad for your 49er future.
