He very likely isnt long term answerbut i truly believe if he had JGs experience and trust he would be better fit for us.

2. I'm with you on the RG.

3. More plays under center and less shotgun stuff. ESPECIALLY on 4th and 1 or whatever it was.

4. Im with you on Moore

Beathard is the same guy he was when he got beat out by Mullens. His prevent defense performance from the Eagles nothing more than a mirage due to the prevent defensive nature. We see what he was when he started the 2nd half

Agreed.

Trade or cut Jimmy

Trade or cut at least one of the ineffective secondary members.

Trade or cut that injured bum we got from the chiefs.
Start CJ immediately and listen for trade calls on Jimmy. We need to know if we draft an QB or go with CJ. Never again settle for an QB who cannot routinely make every single throw and who can't move in the pocket (the reason CJ and not Mullens is because CJ is superior physically, and at QB we are in full rebuild mode).

End of the season, release Jimmy G unless he wants backup money.

Unless CJ suddenly becomes great, do everything possible to get Lawrence or Fields (or even Lance, although I'm not sold yet).

Possibly let Sherman go, depending on cap situation. With Bosa and Ford back (we are stuck with Ford for one more year), the secondary will be functional with Varrett, Mosley and Witherspoon, with an drafted QB. If Sherman is let go, use that money and Garoppolo's to get another good outside pass rusher.

I agree with your suggestions though

I'd try to get Alex Mack during their fire sale. I'd have way more confidence in whatever QB we acquire in either the draft or in FA if I know the O-line can keep him clean.
Since Kyle and Lynch wisely signed long term deals, they have the priviliege of not being in the hot seat. The team is a great team when healthy, and the team is finding out why most of the back ups, are back ups, they simply are not as good.

Scheme: They Niners need to re establish the run game. Mostert is back, put Woerner in on Two TE sets and lets start making teams respect the run. When the teams do not respect the run our OL cannot handle pin the ear back DL charging the QB. If this is the case, they also need to implement screens to slow down the pass rush.

Keep up the Jet Sweeps and runs to the outside early on to tire out the DL.

Defense. Either switch to bend but do not break, or start disguising coverages, Salehs system is simple which makes the D play fast, and works when you have a pass rush and CB's who can go man, note we do not have a pass rush and CB's who can play one on one, so adjustments need to be made.

I still believe in Jimmy G, look how many people shredded Derek Carr, and he just did awesome once him and Gruden got on same page. Jimmy is the best QB on the roster, Mullens is the second best, CJ is a distant third "nice guy back up." For anyone to point to the Philly game, CJ came in and the defense gave him all the underneath stuff to run out the clock, so those stats do not count. Mullens had a bad game, but he is clearly better than CJ and Jimmy G is clearly better than Mullens. Please stop in game changing of qb's
We may have to do more max protect until the line stops playing like garbage. Max protect but use it to your creative advantage with multiple variations of "check-and-release" from the RB/FB/TE. Shoot, run the option like we did a few times and KC does. There are plenty of things we can do, we just haven't even tried them yet.

Practice their tails off until they execute their assignments.

Stop with the crazy "Fire errybody!!!" talk.
It's time to move on from Sherman - that calf is another Achilles waiting to blow.

Yup I agree. Definitely add more roll outs and boot legs. Cut the field in half for our QB, like mcvay has done for Goff. And when jimmy comes back go back to the 2017 offense he ran. I feel Kyle complicates things too much, but jimmy ain't a Matt Ryan (mentally) simplifying things will make him much better.

I have been saying this for the last two years. 9ers are the easiest team to pressure cause our QBs are always 6 yards behind center. Were are the roll outs and boot legs? West coast staples.
I would be Starting Jimmy G if healthy to make his trade value go up. If not start CJ. On defense i would be moving ward to CB and Tarvarius Moore to FS.
i would lock up and pay Warner. Sherman sign him to a 1 year deal. Tartt let him go. Resign Jordan Reed. basically youth movement we overpaid for vets because we were a losing franchise. Pay Raheem bring in james white. Take a flyer on AJ Green. My thoughts are scattered just like this team. Maybe nothing happens and we run it back next year when healthy. Add passrush and IOL and a pass catching back. The secondary is the biggest concern the pass rush is not getting home and we are getting exposed.

Cut/ trade

What I'd do right now:

- Start Mullens until Jimmy G is healthy
- Bench Brunskill and see if there is any improvement on the line. Something has to change he appears to be playing out of position.
- Try to sign Clay Matthews
- Trade for whatever other disgruntled and/or under valued pass rusher I could get for a low round draft pick
- Pray some of these injured guys return soon
- Start letting some of these guys sink or swim. For example our WRs. IDK what they are. Are they actually good players or players benefitting mostly from scheme?
- Devote a significant chunk of practice time to improving the run game and oline. Aside from the dline the run game was the most important aspect of our success last year. Its a must fix item because I don't believe Jimmy can consistently carry us with his arm and that's not really a knock on Jimmy because very few QBs can do that week after week.

- Don't over react to the defense. I hear alot of Saleh bashing but I continue letting him do his thing. The defense isn't the reason for these losses other than the Miami game. Also it can be called an excuse but its just a fact. Take away any teams top 3 corners and 3 best pass rushers and they will soon struggle. It just reared its head a week earlier than expected so I let Saleh be.

In this hypothetical scenario, you have control to make personnel moves, starting/sitting players, replacing coaches etc. -- but it all has to be done right NOW. What do you do NOW to get us out of this mess and give this team a chance to win games going forward? What can you do? What will you do? Let's see what ideas we've got on this board -- and I'll start with mine.

Personnel Adjustments:

* Jimmy Garoppolo until fully healthy. Continue to start CJ Beathard in the meantime to give you as many options on offense as possible.

* Bench Daniel Brunskill and have McKivitz play RG. The latter has no film on him and is better equipped to handle power and we can't have our entire right side getting manhandled because of an inability to sustain blocks.

* Start Tarvarius Moore. He's a playmaker and Ward is not. Ward, if anything should be temporarily moved to CB if we have no one else there.

* Trade Witherspoon if you can. Obviously start Sherman/Moseley when healthy, but if both are not, elevate Tim Harris. I am CERTAIN he is better in coverage than Brian Allen, and without question is more physical than Witherspoon. If both Sherm and E-Man are out, Harris is the only one between himself, Allen, and Webster that knows the system really well. Figure out what we have in him at the very least.

* Trade Pettis AND/OR Trent Taylor if you can get anything for them at all once Richie James is back. If not, just release them and be done with it. Then fully activate Jennings.

Play-calling Adjustments:
1. Employ a run heavy offense as much as you possibly can, get CJ on the move, and employ short passes in the flat to draw up defenders and setup the double-move with Aiyuk for deeper stuff.

2. Get tricky -- start getting aggressive with play-calls and ATTACK. We've not seen anything like we did last year. We already had a WR throwing a pass by Week 2 last year. Nothing of substance on offense and STs so far. Teams seem like they're already prepared for anything we can do and it's humiliating.

New starting lineups and depth chart, assuming that Sherman/Moseley return this week:

STARTERS:
QB: Beathard
RB: Mostert
FB: Juice
TE: Kittle
WR: Aiyuk/Samuel/Bourne
OL: Williams/Tomlinson/Garland/McKivitz/McGlinchey

DE: Hyder/Armstead
DT: Kinlaw/Jones
LB: Warner/Alexander/Greenlaw
CB: Sherman/Moseley
FS: Moore
SS: Tartt

STs: Gould/Wish/Pepper

No way I'd start Beathard. He is AWFUL and only being used because he's another of Kyle's babies (see Pettis, Taylor). Mullens is a far better QB who had a bad game vs. the Eagles who decimated his OL. Not his fault.
Trade for Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, TJ Watt, Chris Jones, and Jeffrey Okudah.

But 49ers would be without draft picks for the next 50 years!!
Collect paychecks and high draft picks .
