Makes me think 49ers will get a RT in the draft and save money on not resigning him, but they could always surprise us.
I will give him a reworked kick in the ass lol
Just draft Chase Lundt from UConn in the 3rd or 4th. McGlinchey/McKivitz clone.

He already looked as good as Vitz while still in college, I wouldn't doubt that he could reach Glinch level before playoffs I hope they snag him with the first 3rd if still there. Niners might have three 3rds (if Shaguars hire Josh Williams) so they better get an OT
More likely to extend Colton than Jennings imo

Wouldn't be mad. Wouldn't be excited. Would be whelmed
Lynch's plan is to not pay non-stars big money ... either McKivitz becomes a star or he leaves for WAY more money than the 49ers are willing to pay.

Haha perfect word to use here

I mean SF has done just about nothing in terms of life after Colton and Williams vs what they've done at WR over the course of the past couple seasons.

Either they extend their non-star to money that he's probably not worth or they do the same thing via FA

Or Burford, Pleasants, Dillard, Puni, or a draft pick end up there on the cheap. I think, much like WR and RB they will just keep spending 3rd and later picks on OL. Success by volume.

Williams is going to retire or fall off eventually. When he leaves they will probably spend big on his replacement (unless a top LT falls to them in the draft).

Pleasants and Dillard have a better chance getting cut than all of a sudden being a starting OT in 2026.

I find it highly unlikely they move Puni outside if he continues to play well at OG.

Also look at the landscape of OTs hitting FA. "Spending big" means massively overspending on meh talent, on guys their own team didn't want to invest that type of cash in. Rarely does a top end OT making it to FA

like I said imo I would expect an extension for Colton over say JJ (Maybe JJ gets a little more cash this yr but gets to FA in 2026).

I hope they invest higher end picks at OT this upcoming draft because they will absolutely have to think about life without Trent soon. Locking up a solid young RT would probably take precedent over someone like JJ imo.

You're probably right. I just cant believe they think Brendel is good.
