Very true. Here's your answer in 3 words
Rodgers
Wilson
Murray
Aiyuk was the saving grace of the 2020 draft, but with him having a down year so far, the 2020 draft is starting to look f**king putrid.

That said, I'm not giving up on Aiyuk. Even tho he's not getting the ball thrown his way, when it does, he's made plays.

I am not giving up on him yet either, but it is getting harder and harder to not see him as a disappointment. Hopefully he turns it around. This offseason I was convinced he was on the same level as Justin Jefferson.

Starting to stack bad draft after bad draft

At least this year's draft is looking good. Trey Lance looks promising, Aaron Banks hasn't allowed a single pressure or sack, Ambry Thomas hasn't given up a single yard or reception. What more could you ask for?
Conspiracy or not, I can't think of a 49ers player in recent years who's been a bigger disappointment than Brandon Aiyuk, all off-season he was advertised as this top 10 receiver, and not just by this fanbase

This Aiyuk thing is a real pickle. A conundrum if you will. Something seems off since week 1 of the preseason. I'm not talking about a sophomore slump. This feels different. The skill is still there. Shanny says he needs to be a better pro. I don't know what that means. If Aiyuk was having an Antonio Brown meltdown then sure I would get the "better pro" comment. Something bad happened behind the scenes and he's not getting looks or focused on in this offense.

Are we in Rashaun Woods territory? Woods sucked since day 1 but he was thinking about bass fish the whole time so I give him a pass.

He was, he was actually doing better than him the last six games Brandon started last year. Also we have to consider he was going against every teams number one corner whereas Justin Jefferson had Adam Thielen to take the defenses attention away from him. After all Thielen got what 14 touchdowns? Yeah, Brandon Aiyuk was f**king amazing last year considering who he had throwing him the ball. This year he's just not getting the targets. Simple as that

But why is it that he isnt getting targets? That is the question, and I doubt it has a simple answer.
so why hasn't he?!

Anybody calling BA a top 10 wr off his rookie season was/is nuts

Man what does that even mean?..damn the next step, what he showed last year is more than enough for me . I dont like Shannys track record with WRs

Yeah I don't understand it. Did he earn his opportunities last year and not this year? I feel like he was given opportunities last year due to injuries and he shined very bright. Why aren't we giving him opportunities to see if he'll shine again?

"He needs to take the next step,". Well hypothetically, let's say Aiyuk completely maxed out last year and was not going to get any better than what we saw. Isn't that still pretty darn good? Maybe not wr1 but a very good wr2 which we sure as hell could use right now.

our coaching staff seems to play some petty games with players. And their comments are so vague it just leads to speculations. "Needs to be a better pro, next step, earn opportunities, etc "

This is why they call him silky.
