It's incredible that JLC's "reports" still get cited. The guy hasn't been the same since P-Willy exposed him.

JLC: My sources tell me that Patrick Willis is set to come out of retirement.
P-Willy: ??? No I'm not.

The guy never reports anything concrete. Everything is vague; nebulous; open ended aka he has no sources and is just b******tting reports.

Lol… at the end of the day they're just homers. Normal sports fan behavior especially on a team message board.

Released..only to go to jail?
The most he could get is 30 days in jail. I'd be shocked if he got more than a fine plus traffic school.

The only pettiness is in your head, and Aiyuk's. Because you both are clearly biased.
Brother, other people are championing the 49ers for their pettiness in response to my comments. What are you talking about?

I would just hate if some sleezy journalist who lingers here, takes are your hard researched work and makes an article out of it with no credit given.
Again, everything I've said besides 1 paragraph of speculation has already been reported. I've credited those journalists.
No catch and release.

I'm all about the pettiness because why not?

Well I guess Lynch is just tired of all the drama.

Maximum pettiness unlocked 🔓!

Lynch doesn't have final say on the roster and isn't in charge of contracts either!

I wouldn't trust any journalist as fact like some here do

The Latest release news is banking on BA dance video that he's being released lol

Understanding the difference between reporting and speculation/opinion helps. It can be blended as well, which is what the 'latest news' about Aiyuk is.

Effectively Jason La Canfora reporting what people around the league are speculating. The report is accurate, but the information is still outside opinion.

Does the general manager still execute trades and / or releases? I dunno. Perhaps I am a bit confused

Traditionally, or commonly, yes. Does this apply to the current 49ers? No.

Yep, you've got people believing idiotic theories that we cancelled mini camp to somehow avoid Brandon Aiyuk. Aiyuk can literally show up at any time and get reinstated.

It's also why I find it strange where people will take one team-positive report and say well yeah that was leaked to make the team look good but not flip that type of thought process for a player-positive report (leaked by agent etc)

I think there is going to be only 1 team interested in Aiyuk, and that's the commanders. Curious what kind of deal he'll get

Sean McVay also cancelled Rams mandatory minicamp so Aiyuk couldn't show up

How's the report accurate when it's speculation?
