19 pressures, 12 run stops and 1 sack in 385 snaps doesn't exactly scream "game changer"

A game changer is Myles Garrett

84 pressures, 45 run stops, 25 sacks

I'd say he's elite at stopping the run and causes a multitude of passing situations on 3rd.

I mean it's not like players and specially young players could improve during a season.

I say they forfeit now and save us all the trouble. Better yet, just give up and fold the franchise. It's just easier that way.

Maybe don't use PFF to make all your claims. They also have Jake Brendel as an above average center .

"When CJ West was on the field during his 2025 rookie season, San Francisco 49ers opponents averaged a stout 3.3 yards per rushing attempt, compared to 4.7 yards per carry when he was on the sideline. [1]

Run Defense Splits

With CJ West on the field: Opponents averaged 3.3 yards per rush across 120 attempts, highlighting his role as a dense, low-center-of-gravity interior anchor in the middle of the defensive line. [1]
Without CJ West on the field: Opponents jumped to 4.7 yards per rush across 304 attempts, exposing a noticeable drop-off in interior gap control when he rotated out. [1]"

yeah, and the reason behind what you are posting is that last year we had no one behind Collins and West as DI,... their substitutes were even worse but that doesn't mean that they were any good,... in fact our run defense was one of the worst in the league with both Collins and West

I hope he were good but I cannot see it,... and the film doesn't show it either,... last season's film as well as last game's

They arent exactly the Williams brothers but the run D was MUCH better in 2025 than 2024. What would you attribute it to?
we better hope they get Bosa and Mykel back at 100% asap or it's going to be messy.

LOlL. He's far from elite. He's good but not elite. Come on now
No Mykel for atleast 4 weeks if hes on PUP to start....

I wouldn't say elite in the NFL just yet but he looked good vs the run with what little we saw. He definitely was elite in college 1/3 of all his tackles were for a loss his entire collegiate career. I get the sense that you think Mykel sucks because he doesn't have the sack #s. We drafted him as a run stuffer which he's shown the potential of being with hopes that he also blossoms into a good pass rusher as well

real chance we dont have either week 1. or that we get bosa back week 1 but the tendenitus flares up after week 1 and he misses more time.

Reminds me of CMC, "resting" and then he misses a ton of time. very concerned about our DE situation. Mykel and Bosa are really solid to have but I'm concerned we aren't going to have either for periods of the year.

I think we need to make a trade for a solid player, doesn't have to be a crosby caliber player.
Lynch has had since last Janyary to fill the passing rushing role opposite Bosa and has failed miserably. The bottomline is this is an old expensive roster that is behind the Seahawks and Rams in their own division.

He's just about had Bosa's whole career and failed miserably. He went and got Dee Ford but he decided to become a cripple after 1 season then traded away Buckner In 7 years the only effort he's made is drafting Drake Jackson and Romello Height if you want to call a 3rd round pick effort. Other than that he constantly signs "meh" edges

He has failed at adding another edge since he has been the GM
Gervon Dexter was just traded for peanuts. He's one of the better pass rushing DT's in the league.

I guess Lynch would rather roll with Alfred Collins

Bears fan hate him he has been a complete liability past few years which is why he was traded for peanuts

He's also due an extension.

I'm not sure why people don't grasp the financial side of things. Very much a Madden mind frame but I suppose I'm guilty of it sometimes too
I miss our b guys that we had before Bosa got paid. omenihu ebukam key jones hyder cassius + marsh a healthy Givens. All floating around the tree trunks -- Buckner and armstead. Every guy flipped a quarter in the wishing well. Big plus was that most everyone topped out at 600 snaps except buckner. Most of it worked because back inthe day you had to 3ple team Bosa. I'm not sure all the 1st and 2nd year guys are gonna lend the same vibe. But we'll see.
