Assuming Osa, Collins, West and Halton should all be locks to make the team its going to be hard for Valdez, Thompson, and Eason to make it.

I'm hoping Thompson makes it. I think he'd be most effective on short yardage and Special Teams.

Yea Collins looks like a camp body out there. Playing way too high and doesn't appear to that strong. For the most part he was just washed out of the way. GH looked good last night. He held up well versus double teams. I didn't really notice Height

I have to see last night as an outlier for Collins. He was much better last year.

2nd half of last year he was "ok" showed improvement but he looked just like this the 1st half of 25. It seemed like he'd make a solid play and it was amplified/magnified because of his size, potential, along with being a high 2nd round pick. Hope it's an outlier game because he has a lot of work to do, I'm honestly terrified of the idea of him being a starter
James Thompson has impressive quickness and contact balance for a big man at 6-5, 308 pounds. Collins ain't firing off the ball like this, and he's definitely not escaping that pile without falling over.

Flashes of Arik Armstead 👀

Honestly this group is pretty underwhelming going into the season both Mykel and Bosa are still Injured only promising depth is Halton which I wouldn't be to quick to hang my hat on. We might be going into Australia with Osa as our only solid/proven Dlineman

I would be surprised if Bosa isnt playing. Mykel likely wont.

Im not a huge fan of Height starting i think he should just be the nickel/dime packages in DPR situations or in blitz packages thats what we drafted him for and where he will be most effective.

Bosa never plays, I think this is going to be another year where he is in and out of the line up.
Bosa's best years are behind him and I've been saying all off season I'm worried about his ability to come back and be an impact player at age 29 (as of October). The body takes a beating playing in the NFL and his has. Not sure he'll have the same bounce as before.

The D Line is one of the weakest points on this team. I also am worried about the DL and the ability to bring pressure. It seems like the Niners are going with who they have and are going to have to make do and expect some of these players to step up. THAT is the concern. Who is going to step up? We'll see how this lineup does in the season and against top tier teams. Worried, yep until the players on the DL show otherwise.

Bro it's an example of poor drafting. Can you name an legit pass rusher in this roster that isn't injured? Do we have any legit situational pass rushers? Williams West and Collins have shown us nothing if we being honest.

IMO the offense is going to have to average at least 30 this season for the 49ers to stand a chance. The defense is going to be bad. They have no secondary and a weak ass DL.

We've essentially squandered Bosa's prime, we had 1 year of Dee Ford before he decided to become cripple and kept Armstead over Buckner…
Dl played a lot better last game. They had no room to run against a much better OL and RB attack than the titans
We have some tough decisions to make.

James Thompson and Bryson Eason are both better and have more potential than Alfred Collins and Ogbo Okoronkwo is better than Mykel Williams.

I don't quite get it how this front office keeps whiffing on DLine prospects with premium picks and then they hit on late round / undrafted guys

Yeah that might be a stretch… two preseason games in and we are saying two UDFA have more "potential" than Collins and a 31yr old journeyman is better than a top 10 pick?
Can someone breakdown Collins? Didn't seem to get much push and got walled off on a run play, but I'm by no means an expert

Damn, I can't believe Ogbo Okoronkwo is already 31 years old. It felt like it was yesterday that we were breaking down his tape in the draft section.
