Yes the D line looked bad tonight against the run. Pass rush was there but to many big runs.

well to be fair it was their starters against our backups.

Collins still hasn't impressed me at all….he's supposed to be at least an elite run stuffing DT and he got washed out on that TD.

feel like the young UDFAs have been just as good. We got a bunch of good young DTs and a bunch of ??? At DE
Yea Collins looks like a camp body out there. Playing way too high and doesn't appear to that strong. For the most part he was just washed out of the way. GH looked good last night. He held up well versus double teams. I didn't really notice Height
James Thompson Jr Arrow up. Kid played better than Collins strong heavy hands.

I was about to post the exact same thing.

Thompson is definitely making this team. He looks really good.
Glad someone said it god forbid I say his name, he's still only 24 but I'm not confident in him being a starter going into the season.
James Thompson looking like Arik Armstead out there. That's a massive dude with heavy hands. I love how he fights to get his hands inside, maintains leverage and keeps running his feet all the way to the QB. He's been tearing it up all camp and definitely is making this team.

Yup, I thought so too. I'd like to see him get some early snaps next week to see how he stacks up against better competition.
Hopefully Mykel along with Osa can lock down the interior run defense I want Greenlaw and Fred free. Our interior pass rush looks promising though
Why did west not play?

I think those 2 would primarily be your pass rushers from the interior, not run stuffers

They should be able to do both efficiently but right now they are the only DTs I trust in run defense all our other DTs seem to be more pass rushers

I was wondering the same thing want to see more of him, we've seen so little it's hard to gauge his role in the defense whether he's rotational or just depth
Did Eason play last night?

Assuming Osa, Collins, West and Halton should all be locks to make the team its going to be hard for Valdez, Thompson, and Eason to make it.

Which is a bummer, because all 3 have showed flashes! That is a solid rotation
Is West injured? I didn't see him last night.

I have to see last night as an outlier for Collins. He was much better last year.
