Make Trenches Great Again!

This is where the data doesn't tell the full story.

1) Lance + CMC = 8 total draft picks spent on two players (incl. Lance's 3rd overall); that's essentially the equivalent of one annual draft class in selections

2) Chase Young was acquired for a 3rd round comp pick; Maliek Collins for a 7th round pick - not sure if those are factored into the %s (I don't think so)

3) FA additions w. Hargrave, Floyd, and Matos to augment concerns with Kinlaw, Armstead, and D. Jackson

So it's understandable as to why the % dropped after 2020, but its clear it wasn't a durable model.

So not only did we miss on draft picks, the recent crop of free events lineman had very little impact aswell. Just an all around s**t show. Gotta get it right ASAP

Just don't draft some guy from Marshall or some Tweener from Georgia.
MyKiel Williams is a 49er!
I would like to see 2 or 3 more DL picks. Tyleik Williams or Darius Alexander on day 2 would be a nice pick, but ultimately, they need run-stuffing 2i nose or two, a designated interior rusher and another edge(ie Jamaree Caldwell, Aeneas Peebles and Elijah Roberts). We'll feel real good about the DL going into the season with that group+Mykel Williams.

welp, there goes Tyleik Williams.

Yes give me a Mammoth run stuffer.

3. We have 11 picks and no true rotation. 3 more guys, plus Williams, Elliott, YGM, Anderson, and Bosa is a rotation.
Please let Alexander fall to us and then we can find a NT later in the draft. Honestly, I hope we grab at least 3-4 more defensive linemen. Rebuilding this line is still the top priority imo
I want 2 of our next 3 picks to be interior dline. Then we possibly have a major strength of this team brewing.
A run stopper at #11 overall. Man I wish we had Howie Roseman instead of Shany and Lynch.

a) He isn't only a run-stuffer
b) if you can't stop the run you are nothing
c) even if we had Roseman you would still find something to whine about. Personally I will stick with what we have.
Stopping the run on 1st and 2nd down gives you the ability to rush the passer on 3rd down. If we don't stop the run it doesn't matter. Williams will help the whole D-line.
The 49ers spent a lot of capital defensive line but it wasn't from early round picks. The Trey Lance trade really cost the 9ers.
