GUYS,

in sports, when you're often injured you ARE injure prone!! it stays with you especially IF you're often sidelined because of whatever injury.. we don't hear this TAG to other players because some plays thru injury.. but even if you just happened to be standing on the sideline after a year off due to a KNEE INJURY, and someone falls on you and you get hurt and be out for the weeks, months, season, you will be under the label of INJURY PRONE..

NO WAY AROUND IT..

That's dumb logic and just because you said it doesn't mean others have to buy into it.

Fact is at this point Nick Bosa has not missed a single regular season game.

No player who is a sure thing for the 53 roster needs to play through injury in training camp and preseason. Those games don't mean squat. You want your players healthy for the games that matter.

We'll see if Nick misses any games from this injury. It was reported that Nick wanted to play through it. Hell it was reported part of the reason his injury last year was so severe was because he was playing through it being injured and then it completely went out on him.

What is the qualification for injury prone? How many injuries can a player have before they're injury prone? By your logic if a player gets hit by a bus they're injury prone.

Quinnen Williams was dealing with a hand injury after his Alabama season and then was dealing with a calf injury during the OTA/Minicamp part of the offseason. Is he injury prone now?

True, I was just giving a couple of examples.

But it's like a baseball player who uses a weighted bat to warm up. Once you grab the real bat it feels super light and easier to swing. I'd imagine a similar result after practicing all week in that protective gear. You'd feel like a race horse come game day.

This will screw up their mobility and they won't perform to par. Then we'll complain how much they suck because they don't look as good in camp as we expected.

Is it any different than a baseball player who swings a weighted bat to warm up?

I was talking about Ward.

No because he doesnt play for the Niners. Williams is a future HoFer and Bosa is injury prone.

Because Bosa plays for the Niners he is not injury prone. It was just a stretch of unpreventable freak injuries. It's the Webzone miracle of confirmation bias.

If he was dealing with another core injury, I'd say that would be more alarming.

Throwing a blanket term like that while not applying variables is kinda foolish imo.

Too each their own.

Injury prone term will be thrown out the window when he's ready to go week 1

Wrong (without context)

Do you consider any NFL player injury prone or is it an unfair label for anyone b3cause of the nature of the game?

bahahaha...yup getting rolled up by a massive human being when you're locked up on someone trying to set the edge is being soft

Go tell that to Shon Coleman who had his foot snapped in half when the same thing happened to him the other day. Same s**t happened to Myles Garrett last yr and he was out for a month.

Don't be that kind of "fan" be better dude.

I don't understand why players don't wear more protective gear during TC and practice. Everyone should be wearing knee and ankle braces imo.

I just have this mental image of the first snap on 11v11 and after the play, everyone lying on the ground trying to detach their braces from each other in a pile.

Do they emerge injury free though in your image?

I think players need to be looked at individually...Devante Parker (who I did like during the draft) has dealt with the same injury (foot/ankle) for like 5 yrs (and is currently banged up).

Ward has broken what like 4-5 bones now? I think the same type of reoccurring injury helps in making the claim of "injury prone".

I don't consider the injury Bosa is dealing with to be more likely to happen to a guy who's injury prone...that's a football injury and can/does happen to players regardless if they have been injured before.

Dealing with the same soft tissue injuries over and over vs some guy cut blocking you and breaking your ankle aren't the same thing.

I also think you need to look at how the player plays the game and the position they play. I had my doubts about Foster because he played the game out of control and couldn't properly tackle. His style of football wasn't gonna equal to a long career.

Look at the 3 big QBs drafted in 2004, Rivers and Eli are iron men while Big Ben has played 4 full seasons in 15 yrs. they know when to throw the ball away and not take a hit, Big Ben stands in the pocket and has taken shots that weren't needed, leading to injuries.

Like I said tons of variables that should be applied instead of just proclaiming so and so is injury prone just because
