Welcome to the webzone? He's a star player drafted early in the first round.
Although I'm sure if we take out any injury talk, short arm jokes or holdout discussions you'll probably have 10 pages at most.

"....but but but there's NO SUCH THING as being injury prone!"
https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2015/02/the-genetics-of-being-injury-prone/385257/
Within the field of sports-injury genetics, some studies have focused on variations in the genes that control the production of collagen, the main component of tendons and ligaments. Collagen proteins also form the backbone of tissues and bones, but in some people, structural differences in these proteins may leave the body's structures weaker or unable to repair themselves properly after injury. In a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine in 2009, South African researchers found that specific variations of a collagen gene named COL1A1 were under-represented in a group of recreational athletes who had suffered traumatic ACL injuries. Those who had torn their ACL were four times as likely as the uninjured study subjects to have a blood relative who had suffered the same injury, suggesting that genetics are at least partially responsible for the strength of the ligament.
https://realketones.com/blogs/lifestyle/is-being-injury-prone-a-myth
According to a functional neurologist, Garrett Salpeter, being 'injury prone', "really means inefficient. When muscles don't elongate properly, they can't absorb as much force during deceleration. So more of that force goes to the connective tissue, bone, etc. and can cause problems there."
This absolutely makes sense-mechanical pathologies can mean postural issues, as well as poor, long-ingrained movement patterns-these things can throw off delicate balances that can accumulate until a final straw (impact) that breaks.
Certainly linked to DNA and genetics,...just as we'd thought and assumed for decades now. Nothing new.

Thankfully a large person falling on you almost never happens in football so we have nothing to worry about going forward, just a freak accident

I think he'll bounce in and out of the injured list his first few years (knock on wood). He can perform at a high level, but there's a lot of moving parts that can apparently go wrong for him when performing at that level. Hopefully, he eventually figures out how to bulletproof his body or changes his playing style to avoid the higher risk stuff.

I don't believe anyone here has actually claimed this. What has been said is that there is nothing at all to indicate that Nick Bosa is injury prone. Ward? He is injury prone. He keeps getting injured. That is the difference.

Niners Nation had an over and under on whether Bosa plays 12.5 games this season. Yes- 56% No- 44%
I'm taking the under as I don't think he plays 10 games this season.
What do you think?
