Yes! But i hope we draft a big 6'5 kicker with noodle legs in the 5th round again!
I hope we bring in the best college punter that doesn't get drafted (most don't) as a UDFA, and have that guy battle with Vogel for the starting spot.
I miss Pin'em already.

I would think we would get a good shot to get the best punter since it would be a legit competition and he can most likely win it

Perfect stopgap while we wait for Braden Mann. Great signing
So much this!!

He will get drafted in 2020. Hope we have enough picks!

pro bowl alternate punter?
How does that work if you aren't on a team? Dumb Q I know but curious.

I just remember Pinions' dumbass shanking a much needed big yarder for 30 yards two weeks in a row.

I am not confident you will get much better numbers. 2017 numbers seemed meh.

Can Vogel kickoff too?

I can't for the life of me think why a professional athlete hired to kick footballs would be unwilling or unable to also take a few place kicks. Am I missing some hidden nuance to kicking a football off a tee here? Serious question.

I don't - he was really struggling with his punts and needed to be replaced.

This. I just don't get it.TOO much kicking?

Also it's weird to me when a kicker nails the kickoff through the uprights but misses a 40 yarder.

I dont care if he can kick off or how he holds the ball for FGs. Can he punt the ball inside the 10 yard line like a punter is supposed to do? I was hoping we would sign a former rugby kicker to handle the punting duties. They seem to excel at dropping the ball inside the 10 with ease.

Only two touchbacks in a full season with 19 kicks down inside the 20.

The #49ers signed P Justin Vogel, who had a great rookie season with Packers in 2017. He had 44.4 gross and 41.6 net average. But he was replaced last year in place of a rookie and didn't catch on anywhere else.

Why though?

We need a punter - Pinion signed with another team.

he's saying "why was he replaced in Green Bay".

Packers drafted JK Scott in the 5th.
Finally. Way better than pinion and a pro bowl alternate. I'm so surprised he didn't get signed by 5-10 other teams bc he certainly did a lot better than at least half the punters in the nfl. NOICEEEEEE
