The #49ers have a punter. They signed Justin Vogel, a 2018 Pro-Bowl alternate. His 41.6 net average ranked seventh in the NFL. It's a one-year deal.

The #49ers signed P Justin Vogel, who had a great rookie season with Packers in 2017. He had 44.4 gross and 41.6 net average. But he was replaced last year in place of a rookie and didn't catch on anywhere else.

I am sure we signed him for the minimum with nothing guaranteed. I guess he can battle with who ever we bring into camp as an UDFA after the draft. Good thing for us, is that who ever the best punter is in college right now, most likely won't get drafted, and we would be pretty appealing to that guy, with our punter spot wide open for him to win.
Weird this Vogel guy didn't catch on any where, after having such a solid rookie season?

I wonder if this guy handled kickoffs and did the placeholding while in Green Bay?

Good signing for very little cash with talent. Pro bowl alternate in 2018. Nice sign to kick the tires on.
